Welcome to ultimate drumming calm I'm Jim mccobb and I'm going to show you another great sounding eighth note rock and roll the first I'm going to play it for you at several different tempos and I'm going to break it down note by note and show you how it works. What In order to play this great sounding rock and roll beat, you got to think it notes you count eighth notes, one and two, and three, and four. And I'm going to be playing the right hand with the right pattern either on the symbol or the closed hi hat. I'm going to count eighth notes. One, and two, and three, and one and two, three, and four. Now I'm going to add the left hand on beach, two and four, it's going to coordinate with the right hand on the eighth notes, one and three, and three, and one and three.
The bass drum is going to be placed on beats one and, and three and in the end of four. So in other words, the foot is playing on every eighth note you're saying exactly. When you play the snare drum one, two and four, the coordination between the bass drum and snare drum will be like this one. Now I'm going to put it all together. One and two and three, a little bit faster tempo, one or two. And four really fast tempos one and two and three.
So there you have it, another great sound and eighth note rock and roll beam. I like this one with the really driving type beats where you want to get a lot of energy and power by using all the bass drum notes. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon at ultimate drumming.com
