Here's our tips on how to head off anxiety attacks before they become full blown panic attacks. stressful events in our lives can make us nervous or anxious. When you are anxious you are not fully present. But thinking about the future, your mind starts to create what if scenarios of something that just might happen based on your own fears or feelings. Often what you are cooking up is based on things you have experienced in the past. For example, if you have been to family holiday gatherings and you feel unappreciated, overwhelmed, or criticized, or maybe even harshly affected by one or more relative, the feelings of trepidation, just thinking of being in another gathering can trigger feelings of anxiety.

So here's a way to bypass the anxiety and head off a panic attack. Of course if you need medical help, we are not telling you To avoid doctors, but this is something you might want to try to see if it works for you. When you first start feeling anxious, it's important that you engage all five senses in the present moment. You should see, smell, hear, taste, and touch something tangible and speak each one out loud such as I see a red apple. I smell bacon cooking. I taste coffee.

I hear conversations in the living room. I touch the hardwood chair. Make sure that whatever you see, smell, taste here or touch is what is immediately going on in the moment right around you. This should assist you in stopping your mind from going into the future. Then next, you need to breed in this special way. Make sure you inhale to the count of four.

So as you're inhaling count to four. Then hold your breath into a count of three, and then exhale to a count of five. So that is inhale, two, four, hole two, three, and exhale, two, five. Keep repeating this until your body has calmed. And Chinese medicine. The triple warmer meridian is what causes us to become anxious when it is overly active.

So you want to try to sedate it to calm your body. You can search the internet to see visually which points to press or what techniques you can use to quiet this meridian. By physically touching the points or smoothing your hands over this meridian. You can find some of the same benefits of acupuncture or acupressure to relieve stress. You can also touch those points on your forehead, right above the eyes, right between the eyebrows. When you hold those points.
