So we're going to create a table to make this data easier to look at, sort and filter. To begin, you want to verify that your data has headers, and there are no blank rows amongst the data. Then, you can select one cell within the data set that's going to eventually become a table, go to the Insert tab and click table. Verify that the pop up that you get here, create table is correct. headers, click OK. And in that one motion there you have a table. Tables are great.
Because they come with these little filters and select sort commands you can sort alphabetically, you can sort numerically and you can sort chronologically by dates, assuming that your dates are in the right format to be recognized as a date. Not only that, can you also change the color of the table. You can filter the table. So imagine I want to see the United States, I can come over here and start to type the United States. Add that to the filter that set their tables can be named. Table one is the default first name when you name it.
