Hello guys and welcome back. In this class, we will go through the application process for a university. I wish to give you an overview of the things most universities in Europe look for in your application. After you have shortlisted, the universities you wish to go to in the last section, the next step is to actually successfully applying for them. They of course look at your grades, but universities in Europe in particular, look at your language skills, both English and the local language of the place you're applying for. extracurricular activities and social work definitely add to your portfolio.
Last but not the least, recommendation letters from your teachers or professors, along with the motivation letter you're about to write. as to why should you be allowed to get into the university. If you get these things right. There is a strong possibility that you will get into the university which you apply for. That being said getting into medical school. are extremely renowned universities can be a bit more difficult.
From the shortlisted universities it is important that you take into consideration variables such as available number of seats, clear cut offs, and what are your opportunities after graduating for a job. Make sure to take these things into consideration when you apply for the particular University you wish to apply for. Most of this information is available on the degree information page, or most universities in Europe or throughout the world. I will add a link in the description from my previous University. Just as an example. The grades you have or the grades you have, you can't change them now.
But make sure that you get your language certification from a renowned institution. For example, if I was studying German, I would go to Goethe Institute if I was a non native English speaker, I would get a certificate from IIT s or TOEFL. most universities will ask recommendation letters from your professors or teachers, please make sure that they are absolutely fantastic. Make sure to request your professors to elaborate the skills that will make you an ideal candidate specifically for the degree which you're applying for. Next comes the letter of motivation. There are plenty of places on the internet which give excellent advice regarding this topic.
Most schools and universities have a writing center or Advisory Committee, which will help you with this, and they are very well structured. I won't go into the details, but if you take a look at the description, I've added resources to places which gives you excellent advice on how to write your motivation letter. I've also attached a checklist which covers 80% of the things which you will require to apply to any of these universities. This list is not exhaustive, you can do plenty more things to make sure that you get into the University of your dreams.
