Let's go through setting up a time lapse. So again into a time lapse, we need to set a time lapse mode. So on the left, we'll set it to the one that looks like the clock icon and we go to the menu and in the photo icon, look for time lapse animation, self timer, that's the one we just took. And you can adjust that by clicking in. We're going to go to time lapse, and you have a choice between stop motion and time lapse. But of course we're doing time lapse.
Start Time is nice because you can set it now or you can schedule it. So that's a nice feature. So let's just set up a quick time lapse here. This I thought This part to be a bit confusing, wondering what all these things are. So usually you'll set a time lapse interval between two and 10 seconds. So you want to leave, these are ours minutes and then this is seconds.
So this is going to take one every two seconds, which is fine. And to get to the image count menu, this is set to one by default was driving me crazy. So I've just set it up to take 113 photos, and I can just pop that up to Toner 13 when I'm done a press sets and then just press the shutter on halfway. Make sure you've set up your shots and then you simply press the shutter and now we're going to let it go. We'll take a look at the finished result. Hopefully, it turns out well, so there's your Quick Start Guide to the different photography modes and Again, we'll analyze some of the photos I took, and I'll provide some commentary on them.
We're mainly focusing on video here, but at least you're getting some additional tips on taking photos for the GH five. So let's start this time lapse. Okay, so the time lapse completed. And I wanted to just set this up again to do a short one to show you what the workflow is after it's finished. So we're going to go back into the menu, and I'm happy with everything there. So again, to get to the image counts, you got to move the joystick to the right, if you press down, it's going to change the numbers like that.
So let's just set this to one hundreds Okay, set that up. And make sure it's set up to time lapse mode and started off. As we can see, it's giving us the countdown also the number of time lapse shots. And when we rejoin, I'm going to show you the workflow to create that time lapse straight from the GH five. All right, so we're rejoining. And the time lapse is almost done.
There's one more shot. And let's take a look at the workflow. So I'll just bring this over here. So it's not distracting you. So it's asking do you want to create the video now? Yes, of course they want to create the video now.
And so we have some choices to make. We can set the frame rate, I'll just set it at 30 frames. And it's going to be full HD. mp4 file and then we can choose if we want to do it in reverse. Let's just do this one in reverse just for fun. And hit OK.
Create time one minute proceeds, yes please. And it's going to go ahead and create the video. So let's play it there we go. So that's how we create a time lapse with the GH five and have the camera actually create the time lapse video in the camera. That's pretty cool.
