And if all that's not enough, there are additional dangers of having a high insulin as discussed, if your pancreas is secreting insulin, and it's not secreting glucagon, you have no fat burning, so you have no opportunity to get slimmer. Insulin is also highly inflammatory. And many chronic diseases such as osteoporosis and even cancer are grounded in inflammation. So you want to create a situation in your body where your body is cool, and it's not very inflamed. Insulin also causes oxidative stress or oxidative damage, and this also goes hand in hand with cancer. Alzheimer's is now being called type three diabetes because there is a close association between insulin resistance and diabetes and Alzheimer's even thyroid health If an incident are connected, sometimes thyroid conditions are actually less about the thyroid gland itself than they are about incident abnormalities.

So if you have been diagnosed with a thyroid problem, it's worth addressing the incident first because it may be more of an insolent imbalance than it is a thyroid problem. High insulin is associated with PCOS, which is polycystic ovarian syndrome. And of course, if you have insulin resistance, you are at an increased risk of developing diabetes. Now, why is this? obesity and belly fat are signs and symptoms of insulin resistance as we've discussed, but insulin resistance also messes with your fat and your protein metabolism. And it's a vicious cycle.

Once it begins, it just goes round and round. So the trick is to not let it become In the first place, but in addition to this, the constant flow of insulin from the pancreas is a little like sitting in your car and revving the engine. Eventually, you're going to burn the engine art. The pancreas also begins to tire. And when it wears out, the insulin resistance becomes diabetes. Now this can take up to 15 years.

Not everybody with insulin resistant will necessarily develop diabetes, but genetic influences, plus exposure to toxins which for all of us, it's impossible for us to avoid increase the risks of insulin resistance becoming diabetes. And it's more difficult to influence genetic expression and toxin exposure than it is to influence your insulin secretion and we do have the power to control it.
