Now we're going to play and count the beats to make sure that we are holding the notes the proper length of time. As you can see, in the left hand, we have eighth notes. So we're going to count one and two and three and four. And even though the right hand doesn't have eighth notes, we're thinking ahead a little bit we're anticipating for when we put the hands together, we're going to have to count one and two. And so let's do it now to really get in the habit and to understand the relationship between the rhythm and the right hand and left hand. So if you want to watch me one time, that's great.
If you want to join me Even better, I'll count us off. One and two, and three, and four, and count out loud. One, and two, and three, and four, and, one and two, and three, and four, and one and two, and, three, and four, and, one, and two, and, three, and, four, and. One, and, two, and, three, and, four, and. One, and, two, and, three, and four, and. One, and, two, and, three, and four, and.
One and. Two, and, three, and, four, and. One and, two and three and four and practice that with me as many times as you need to and then practice on your own. Always make sure that you're counting out loud and keep a steady beat. Are you counting and keeping a steady beat? You can count out loud or silently in your head.
