We now take the lip roll technique and apply it to our first exercise which is the 5 tones major scale, blowing and singing from the first note up to the last note sequentially through five intervals with no variation in the exercise reaching a perfect 5th interval at the top. We then in the same breath sing the exercise back down finishing on the initial starting note. Note - Some theoretical detail of the exercises are included but you do not need to know any music theory to utilize these exercises or this course. Breathing is inherent in the exercises and is learned automatically because of the phrases. just remember to breathe in deeply before and, exhale slowly through a passage. Again, by no means is breathing a minor aspect in singing. However, this course is just geared towards jump-starting you to better vocal control and flexibility by singing. The 5 5 tones major scale is derived from its parent scale the major scale. For beginners, we take the major scale and halve it so we have a suitable and comfortable vocal range to practice in. This is so we learn to sing and learn to control our vocal cords in a comfortable, and suitable range before pushing our vocal cords with more difficult exercises to their boundaries. The interval range of the 5 Tone major scale is 7 semitones (Perfect 5th) and is a perfect starting point for beginners. Note – We will be practicing lip rolls on a 5 Tone major scale and all the other exercises at 80 bpm, 100 bpm, and finally at the end of the course at 120 bpm. As stated in the Course Overview this mini-course comes with 3 audio exercise tracks per exercise at tempos of 80 bpm,100 bpm, and 120bpm. All the audio exercises will be listed at the end of the course for you to practice your lip rolls over daily. Note - Remember to practice consistently and daily and you will improve.
