Rounding rang guidelines, the brand Bible, the brand guidebook should be available to you in advance of developing ideas for client. It should be part of the briefing phase. I'm putting it out because I think it's really important as a tip to Jeff Bezos said something along the lines of a brand is what people say about you when you're out of the room. And I think that is a great humanistic way of thinking of branding. There are numerous books on brand theory, brand development, I will include a very simple brand template, in the resources section for you to take a look at. It's what I use within my branding workshops for clients.
And we'll give you a kind of taste of the sort of aspects to consider when you're looking at a brand. But as I say most most brands will have their own brand Bible and you should be in possession of this and read it thoroughly. You might think you know your brand or You know, if you're doing something internally or for yourself you might be, you know, you might feel confident you know the brand but it's always always worth a refresh. So, get that brand book out, have a really good look. Look at the colors, look at the fonts, look at the style guide there, look at how they behave, how they speak, what they don't say, what their core mission is. All of these things the function and personality of the brand needs to be clearly understood and agreed upon with your client.
