Hi, welcome back. In this tutorial I will explain you how you can add the reviews from this form automatically on your site using an add on called form director. So it would be truly amazing that you're having a capability for us review from your form response directly show on your website so that the users can get to know about how good your product is without any manual work. I'm not going to explain how to install the add on again as I have done it previously in another video. So in the add on section I how this On already available called form director. Hence, I will first of all open it.
Next, I will click setup. Now, this has opened a small tab on the right hand corner. In this tab again, you need to click Start setup, after which it will display some of the apps to select. So, first of all I need to explain you what form director is. This add on helps you to use the forms response data to make changes for any of the other apps that you're using. By doing so, you can add more functionality to your form.
Moreover, you are also being able to use this forms data at some other place. You can see that there are so many Many apps are available here, which can be used by this add on to make any changes. You may use PayPal but it is in a beta stage. So this will be something related to the payments. After any condition through the responses has been met. I will explain you in detail about how you're going to add the reviews on our website.
In order to add the reviews on our website, you may use Google document orals Google slide. You should know that you can embed Google slide or Google document on your website. If you use Google document, then the reviews will be available in the form of pages. And if you use Google Slides, then it will be in the form of a slide. Moreover, this you can autoplay the slide so that the user can watch all the reviews without Any manual interaction with the slide, okay, so I will select slide, first of all, and here you need to get some knowledge about what to do in order to get a desired information onto your slide. So first of all the selected application is Google slide, you may change here if you want to.
And below the selected service is by default, published slide. So for every new response, if you want to publish a slide, then you may select this option, or else, click this drop down and select another option saying append slide. So this will add all the response data at the end of a slide. Make sure that this service is activated and you need to have a knowledge that this is a basic plan. There is also a premium plan. And with a basic plan, you have only about 50, Google slide operations or month.
After that, here you can see Google slide configuration, under which you need to choose a Google slide to represent it as a template. And you need to choose a slide to which you want to append the response data. And then you need to select a folder from your Google Drive to which you want to store all this information. Next comes mapping by using this you are going to select through which element is the response data from a particular cushion is going to be displayed. If you have enabled a notification, then you will also receive an email and it will how a slide and a PDF of the response if you don't want it Have that then just uncheck here orals if you don't want the notification also, then switch off it here. Now first of all, let us start with creating a template.
I have already opened Google Slides app. First of all, I'm going to start with a blank template. And this i'm going to add few of the text elements which I can use as a place to show reviews. Right now there are about two text boxes. I'm going to divide the below text box into two. So first of all, you need to add the elements by giving them a name in order for this elements to be compatible with the add on, you need to specify them.
In order to specify them you need to add them in a particular format, which I will describe now. First of all, you should start with $1 sign. And then you need to open a bracket like this and close a bracket like this. And after that the field name should be provided between these two brackets. Here I'm going to name it as review. And the below one, I will name it as writing.
And beside this writing, I'm going to provide the name of the person who has provided the review. So this will act as a template. And now we need to create another form to which we have to append all the forms response data. So first of all, Let is renamed this presentation as review slide template. I will go slides home and create another slide. I will rename this as testimonials I will remove this below Flexbox I will add a simple shape and after that I will rename this.
After renaming it, I am going to close. Now back to the Google Forms app under the template, I'm going to choose the template that we have created just now. Here it is. After selecting it, you should be confirmed that this add on has detected the fields that we have added which is being shown with a confirmation message here saying there are three fields in the slide. After that, I need to choose a slide to which I want to append the response data. And that will be the testimonials slide.
After this now I will select the destination after selecting the destination now, I'm going to start mapping. This will open in a pop up where you need to do the mapping. I'm going to start by adding that field so The add on has name as an app field for which I have selected form field as name. This is the cushion in the form and I need the answer of this form to be represented as name. For that I'm going to add new mapping. So for review, I want to select a form field whose question name is Ryder review and I will click Save map I'm going to add another mapping.
That will be the rating for which I need to select the form field and from the cushions I will select rate our book as cushion and offer that I will save. I will click save and when I will save and close now the mapping has been done. After completing all of this, I need to click save off for all that work. Now I'm going to explain you how you can set conditions. For this service to run. All you have to do is click the Settings button.
Now I'm going to add the condition as rate our book should have a value greater than or equal to four. And often that I will click Save and Close. So this has added a condition that the slide will have new data only and only if the rating is more than four. I'm going to minimize this add on and now I will preview and add few responses to this form. So after adding few of the responses, I want to first show you the responses in the responses section of the form where you get to know that there is a three rating, a four star rating on a five star rating. And moreover, there are about three reviews, which include good book with great insights.
Either one is excellent and last one is not bad. So if, if the add on is working properly, then this third rating, and it's review should not be displayed in the form. So, back to the Google Slides app. And now I'm going to open this testimonials slide. So, does that honor has added some information to our slide Let us check that the second slide has been added. And it shows about the rating, the review and the name.
And we have another review saying excellent. And the rating is five here. So, as we have said a condition hence, no rating less than 30 has been added to our slide. As I said, you you can use this to show reviews on to your website without any manual intervention. Hence, I'm going to just demonstrate it for you. So this is the Google Sites website by which we can create our own site.
And here I'm going to just demonstrate you how you can use the slide that we have just created for the ceremonial purpose and I will show you how you can add it here. So here on the right hand In the insert section, you will have slides as the option. When you click that, you will see the slides that you have created. Select the slide and click Insert button. Now you can see the slide has been inserted. I'm going to move it to the center of the page.
Now this is a testimonial slide, I'm going to change the settings. I want this to autoplay. So in this way, you can show testimonials to your site visitors. One thing that I want to say is that I just created a simple slide with no proper graphics, or with no proper colors or no proper shapes. But in your case, you can use all of them and create a video Beautiful testimonials slide so that it looks appealing to your site visitors.
