This next section is all about travel. What we're going to do is do the basic shortcuts, overload them and then we're going to combine them so Siri will be like a multitasking maniac for you. Now this first shortcut is called Take me home. Technically, you can just do that without a shortcut if you have in your contacts, your name listed in your contact list with your address and you say, hey, Siri, take me home. She'll take you home. Oh, see?

Series listening to me. Okay. Anyway, the reason why this shortcut is a little bit better is because number one, you can say take me to bills take me to Bob's taking me to my dad's. It doesn't have to be for your home. You can put in any address that you frequently go to, and wouldn't need directions from various locations. The next reason why it's better is because let's say if you like ways or Google Maps, you can let the shortcut know which map you wish to use.

So let's get started. You click on shortcuts and let's go to the gallery and this is under essential Here's the essentials, and then directions home right here. So let's click on directions home. And we'll click on Get shortcut. So the first time is you put in your address. So I'm going to make up an address here.

And then you continue, you then add the city. And then you continue. And then this is one it says, which maps Would you like to use? You click on maps the video before this one goes over the pros and cons of Google Maps, Apple Maps and ways personally, to start a trip I use waves because I like that it can keep track of my speed and tells me if police are around so I avoid tickets. And I also like that it's community based so say in a big traffic jam or something, I'll let you know but if I'm driving in the car, I think have a place to go. I'll use hands free Siri so for now we'll check ways and then done.

So it's added to the library. Now let's go to the library. We click on the bottom here and it says directions home. Let's quickly label the shortcut so we can speak it to Siri. This click on these three dots in the upper right hand corner under directions home. And this is you've already entered all this in already, click on the upper right toggle, click on the Siri phrase and name it whatever you want to name it for now, we'll just call it take me home.

Take me home. And there we have it. Or you can do this for other places too. So you always have directions to where you most frequently go. So let's try out our shortcut. Hey Siri.

Take me home. Running Your shortcut. Okay. So she opened Up ways automatically. Now you do have to click on where she finds where she's going to go. So I do have to click on there with my finger when she calculates the route and she's calculating.

I'm at an Airbnb, so I won't really be here let's take Jane Addams Memorial tollways and Kennedy expressways to Chicago so she gives the time I'll get there, how long it'll take and then I click on Go now and there we go. So your home plate is to set up a take me home shortcut and then come on back.
