Welcome to Chapter Two. This is the meaty piece of being a manager. You've set up the right environment, you're now in operating mode, where every day you manage your team and you lead them towards the accomplishment of the agreed goals. Have you heard about being a new business as usual? I don't know about you, but there's nothing unusual in my business. Every day is different.
Every day, I face new challenges, new crisis, new situations, new surprises, and new positive experiences as well. So as a manager, your role is to adapt to everyday situation. And make sure that you consistently drive your team, reminding them of your foundations, whether it's your vision, whether it's your values, your strategy, your goals, you're there to keep them on track, acting almost like a compass and showing them a feedback. Where do they stand on their trajectory? Are they on track? Are they getting off track and you help them get back.
