Our Why
Why is movement so important to learning? Students must feel free to learn without the rules and limitations imposed by traditional teaching methods. Research shows that having the freedom to sit, stand, stretch, ride a stationary bike, or even lift weights while intentionally learning is very beneficial to retain the lesson. Notice the word intentional?
Our approach is different from the methodology of piecing a string of YouTube videos and apps to gain the whole language. We challenge students to connect with others through a multitude of options. We do offer YouTube videos but as an entertainment and reinforcement tool, not the foundation. Our goal is to teach learning in a linear manner yet incorporate fun and flexibility into the process.

Our courses encourage students beyond learning English. We teach that vulnerability is one of our greatest teachers. We grow by taking that first step when we expose ourselves to building new relationships in uncharted waters.
We believe exercise stimulates learning because it connects your mind and body and creates the courage to develop relationships with like-minded people. We want our students to learn in a fun way and appreciate the freedom to move in any way they feel guided while watching our video lessons. Our first lesson is full of tips on how to do yoga, lift weights or stretch while watching our videos. Repetition is essential, and we suspect that most of our students will need to watch the lesson more than once to get the proper pronunciation before they go out into the community for the weekly challenge.

Our courses are for students aged 8 years old to adults. The only requirements are an "I can" mindset and an "I do" response. Because the foundation of language acquisition is vocabulary, practicing in a real-life situation is essential. Our weekly challenges are intentionally structured to help create opportunities for our students to relate to others and shed off fears in speaking. Incorporating exercise into our lessons helps create an environment more conducive to long-term vocabulary retention.
