Welcome back, my friends, it's now time to get some insights about our biology that actually affects our psychology as well. Like I said, everything that is psychological is biological. Now, I'm not going to share everything because I don't know every single thing as well about our biological process. I'm not a biologist, but I can share with you several biological process that you've actually been using this every day. And the facts are emotions daily. And even before that, I want to start with this quote, that I read that you cannot live a positive life with a negative mind, not just a positive moments but a positive life.

You can't live a positive life with a negative mind. That makes a lot of sense to me. And I hope it makes sense to you as well. But let me ask you this when I say cat can you visually picture a cat in your mind? Yeah, the cat. How bought a refrigerator?

Can you picture a refrigerator? Or how about a car? Can you picture a car? Why can you visualize get Hawaii? Can you have a picture in your mind about every of those three things that I said? Because you've seen them you've seen a cat.

You've seen a refrigerator. You've seen a car, right? But how about if I say, the mind what picture that comes in your mind. If you're like most people, when they hear the word, the mind or your mind, or just mind thing that comes in there, the picture that comes in their head is the brain. But actually, your brain and your mind are two different things. It's like your voice.

And your vocal cords are two different things. Your voice is the result of your local court when you use your vocal cord as your vocal cord is the organ that you use, so you can produce the voice, the same thing with your brain and your mind. Your brain is the organ and your mind is one of the result. As your brain is functioning, not the only one, but one of the result. You cannot see your voice, but it's there. You cannot see your mind but it's there.

So let's understand this are two different things, your brain and your mind of two different things. So let's start with there so we can have a better understanding when we want to Understand the mind because if you want to, you know, hack, negative emotional habits, it's about neck, hacking your mind. And it means understanding that your mind and your brain are very much related, but they are two different things. That's number one. The second thing. Now we're going to talk about our brain because it affects our mind and then affects our emotion.

Our brain is actually the source of our emotions. Like I said in the previous video, my mistake was understanding that emotion comes from the heart, but actually, biologically No, it comes from the brain. How come because every single emotion that you're feeling, from the most positive to the most negative emotions cannot be felt by us. If there are no bio chemicals that are being produced, no hormones that are being produced in our body, different kinds of bio chemicals, different kinds of hormones, effects, what kind of emotions that you're feeling and how intense it is. Depending on how much of that by chemicals are being produced as well, and those hormones in each of your hormone hormonal glands in your body cannot be produced if there are no neurotransmitter in your brain that are being produced, and those neurotransmitters can only be produced by having a thought prior to that.

So, a thought is the beginning of the process that leads to the production of neurotransmitters and those neurotransmitters, send the message through your hormonal glands and your hormones are being produced and then you feel something. So this was at first to me it was mind blowing personally, to me, when I first understand this when I first understand this because, like I said, I was like, dude, emotion comes from the heart has nothing to do with the brain. So that is a very fundamental understanding that we need to have Before we go further, that Every motion it has something to do with our mind, which meaning it has something to do with our brain even though the brain and the mind are two different things. I remember there was Dr. Joe dispenza, who said it beautifully that the mind is the brain in action. That's the mind.

When your brain is in action. One of the results you produce fast your mind, but you might ask me then, Ollie, there was a time when I was not thinking anything, but I feel pissed, or I was not thinking anything but I feel good. How about that? You said every emotion starts with a thought that I was not thinking anything at that time. If that happened, by the way that is biologically impossible for that to happen. feeling something without thinking anything is biologically impossible.

So when that happens, could be what you are thinking has been repeated again and again. And it has already gone into your subconscious mind, which is something we're going to talk later as well when when a particular font has been has been repeated. enough times and has been, it has gone into your subconscious mind that it goes automatically. You might not even realize it when you're thinking it. So going on to the next part, the next biological insights that we need to understand when it comes to managing our emotions is your brain cannot tell the difference whether something is real. Or it's just in your mind.

You're just thinking you're imagining it, you're just visualizing it, thinking your brain cannot tell the difference. Let me give you an example. Your brain cannot tell the difference. But with a very important note, while you're thinking about that, while you're imagining a particular thing, you involve your emotion. Otherwise, it's not going to work. When you involve your emotion, then the brain cannot tell the difference.

Let me give you an example. Suppose you think about something that happened in the past, let's say a week ago or a year ago or sometime In the past, you really focus your mind on that particular event, something that makes you really sad. You really focused in your mind on that. Why would you feel feel sad, even though it's not actually happening right now or you want to meet someone tomorrow? It's still tomorrow, not today. But you already you know, man, I don't want to meet him or meet her you already feel bad even even when the person is not in front of you or want to meet this person tomorrow.

And but right now you feel so excited already. While the person actually not in front of you How come because when you're thinking about it, when you're thinking about that person, you are involving your emotion. And when you involve your emotion in your thinking to the brain, it means it is actually real, and that's why the neurotransmitters being produced and that's why sends the message to your hormonal glands. The hormones are being produced and you can feel the feeling right now even though the person is not in front of you. And this feature of our brain is super, super, super We're super critical in how we're going to hack our emotions in the next video is when we start to practice this. So this is very fundamental my friends, okay, and one more thing I want to say about this is do not blame the method because a lot of people, you know, read about this and then they tried it, but they don't try it in the right way.

And then they blame the method, oh, it doesn't work. I know it's not going to work, blah, blah, blah, blah. Don't blame the method if you're not doing it right. Again, the most important note in this process, which you will try later, is you need to involve your emotion you know, all out in the process when you visualize when you think something, otherwise it's not going to work and the last part, the last biological insights that I want to share with you, that will be very critical to our course in the next videos and as you practice, the exercises is where you focus your mind it will lead To the feeling that you will produce, okay? Where you focus your minds, it becomes the feeling that you produce. And the feeling that you produce becomes the reality of your experience.

Let me give you an example. Let's say you're taking this course and then the lesson there are three people you and two other people who's you know, taking this course. And as you listen to me talking here, you are focusing your mind on what I'm going to have for dinner later. And then the next person thinking about how am I going to use this learning and you know, change my life in a positive way. And then another person, the third person, as he or she's listening to me in this video, focusing their mind on have learned about this before this is boring. So three different person watching the same person talking about the same thing and because at that time as they're listening to me talk the they're focusing their mind on different kinds of things, three different things, eventually they will produce different kinds of feelings.

If you're focusing your mind on, let's say, you know what some What am I going to have for dinner, you'll probably feel starting to feel a bit hungry and the other person will have already. This is boring, they will feel bored. And the second person was, how am I going to use this so I can practice this, you know, consistently to change my life will probably feel excited or curious. And then after that, after they finished the course, after you finished the course, someone asked you, Hey, I heard you were taking that online course. How was it? And you would say, How was it?

Because at that time, you keep thinking about what's for dinner? What's for dinner? So you don't you know it's okay probably but you but you're not fully here in the in the course you won't, you won't get the most learning that you can actually get. And the second person how was the course was actually great. It was very interesting. Blah, blah, blah, blah.

And the third person how was the course it was boring, so Because at that moment, they're focusing their mind their thoughts on different things. They produce different feelings. And because they produce different feelings, they produce different reality of their experience. Does that make sense now? So if what you're focusing equals what you're feeling and what you're feeling equals the reality of your experience. So the question is, so how do you change your focus?

So you change your feelings, so you change the reality of your experience? Here's where the other biological insights becomes very important. And I want to start with asking you a question. Let me ask you this. What are three reasons that would make you say that the city that you're currently living in is a great city really think? And make sure if you don't find the answer right away, take your time, pause the video and really think and keep giving pressure if you haven't found three.

It can be anything subjective to you three things that would make you say the spirit You're currently living in is a great city. Three things. Go ahead, pause the video if you haven't done. All right. Now, the second question, what are three things that would make you say that the city that you're currently living is not a great city? Three things again, seriously ask this questions don't just fooling around.

But seriously ask the questions and make sure you put enough pressure. If you haven't got three, just keep asking and give more pressures until you find three things. just pause the video and go ahead find three things, Dennis. Oh, all right. If you really, really focus you will find three things. And why am I so sure?

Because this has something to do with our biological process. Notice how those two questions are actually directly opposite questions one to another, yet somehow, you find three things about each other. Why? Because that is how our brain works. When you get at Question, your brain automatically will try to find an answer, regardless whether they're the right answer or not. But they're your subjective answer.

And maybe sometimes you don't get the answer right away. But if you keep asking questions, if you keep asking the questions and if you keep giving more pressure to the questions, your brain will continue to work hard to find, to find the answer. So what does that have to do with any of this with emotions? Every single thought that we have? Always start with a question whether you realize it or not, every single one of them let's say you when you after you take a shower today, and then you go through your clothes you when you pick your clothes, do you think you there's a question that comes in your head before you you know, decide which clothes you're going to take whether you realize or not, it can be a fraction of a second, but there is a question. Again, this is not psychology.

This is biology. So there's always It's a question behind every every every thought you might be thinking, Oh, that's when am I going to work this because I'm going to meet this person around because I'm going to that place or whatever. So there's always a question that leads you to the decision that leads you to the thought and leads you to the decision and leads you to the action, and then be true to the results. So every thought again, starts with a question now, if the kind of question that we keep asking to ourselves is, why am I so stupid? Why am I a failure? If those are the kind of question that you keep asking to ourselves, then your brain will also keep giving answers, because you're lazy because you're not dependable because bla bla bla bla bla bla.

So you ask lousy questions, you get lousy answers, my friend. However, you can change the question. What else can I do? What are the sources that that I can explore to get a better result? How can I do this more effectively? What are the other things that I can do?

Or, or even better, what are the other things that I can do? So I can be more consistent and enjoy the process, even a better question. So when you change your question, you change your focus. And when you change your focus, you change your feelings and when you change your feelings, you change the reality of what you're experiencing. So those are some insights about our biological process that I want to share in this video. Because this will be very crucial as we go through the next video and especially as you go through the practices on how you can hack your emotion and create a better emotional habits.

I'll see you in the next video.
