Going above and beyond took only a few moments of care from Emma, but had a huge impact on the family that will last a lifetime
Emma was on duty late one night in a busy ER when she received a phone call from a woman who needed help. This woman was about to drive four hours to bring her father to the hospital for a liver transplant. They were advised to come right away, but the hotel they were staying at did not provide all-night service and they would not leave a key for them. Emma was able to alleviate this one problem by walking to the hotel on her break and picking up the key. She left the key at the hospital admitting desk and they had a place to sleep while their family member was in the hospital.
