Hi, I'm Nick lever, I've been making video games for over 30 years. In this course, we're going to look at creating a 3d RPG games running a modern browser, including most mobile devices. To create a 3d game that runs in a browser means using Web GL. Web GL is a low level API that's pretty tough to use. But there is a terrific open source library available to make your life so much easier. Three j. s is a mature library that is more than capable of bringing your game ideas into the web.
We're going to look at creating 3d assets either by using modeling tools like blender, or by sorting them from asset sites such as turbosquid, or free 3d. We're going to look at using the superbe character and animation assets available through Maximo. I'll show you how easy it is to load these assets into your game. And we're going to look at the techniques used to move your characters around them. environment and interact with the environment by reacting to the location will add cutscenes to the game and will add sound reacts to the camera location. The course is very focused.
So in a little over two hours you'll have the insights to start work on your own game. I'm really looking forward to see what you create
