Hey guys, Zach Lau here. Welcome to another episode of skate school. In today's episode, we're going to be teaching you how to sew. Let's get started. To get started, make sure you're very comfortable writing your board, make sure you can Ollie and jump on and off of your board very easy. The hippie jump is a very easy trick.
It's mostly used to get creative at different spots, or for some added seas during your lines. You can start by writing very slow and practicing jumping up and down on top of your board while it's still going forward. To use the same motion for the hippie jump. You just have to make sure to get your feet all the way over the obstacles that you're jumping over. It helps to practice running and jumping Over the obstacle first before you try to jump just to make sure you know how high to pull up your feet when jumping over. Find a small rail or an obstacle that has space underneath it so you can jump over and have your board still ride underneath it.
Get a good amount of speed and start riding towards the obstacle. Use the same motion as you do jumping up and down on your board on flat ground. When you get close to the obstacle, push your board underneath the obstacle. Watch jumping up and over back on top. Focus on lifting your feet well over the obstacle and landing back on top of your board on the other side, land on your pole and right away. Alright guys, now you've mastered the hippie jump.
It's time to practice on bigger and bigger obstacles, and then take it to the streets. But most of all, have fun Don't forget to like, comment and share this video with your friends.
