Many of our guests spoke about the importance of being intuitive for others. I recommend people to start in their intuitive practice getting information about other people, because they don't have any vested interest in that. And then that way you learn how to be objective. It's like you're standing outside yourself. And of course, take take a page from the book called The very rich book interviews with very rich people. And they all say I treat life like a game.
You don't take it too seriously. And that may be the key to being able to step outside of yourself, and to look was to look at what's going to work best for you. And I found that when I wanted to train intuition, that it was a lot easier to help people be intuitive for someone else rather than for themselves. Just like they can be more creative when it's for someone else to make a gift for somebody or have insights for Somebody else, because when we care about somebody, our heart goes out to them. And we're expanding ourselves. And we are out of the way in that sense.
And so the philosophy of the intuitive heart is through caring makes a bridge that you can make an intuitive connection with something. If you want to try being intuitive for someone else, Henry Reid offers his intuitive heart method. One way that I have people practice this is by working in pairs. And I could work with you and ask you right to be thinking about some particular issue that's facing you in your life, and an intuitive problem solving situation. We know I know exactly how to look at the situation. I don't even know what your situation is.
I don't know exactly what it is. But I can go inside and just allow based on my own experience, just see what spontaneously what memory comes up to me. And the way I have people do this is in three stages. The first stage To get into this flow state we're talking about so what I do is just very consciously, it's a little hard while I'm talking to you to relax and focus on my breathing and allow it to flow. And I use that phrase, I can trust an inspiration. And that gives me a sense of the breath is coming.
And I can be relaxed. And I can even feel some gratitude for that. I think when you start feeling grateful for your breath, it puts you in a very different headspace, you know that you're full, you're okay, and this confidence and gratitude, and there's love and that feeling of gratitude. And then the next step is out of that feeling of gratitude and love, I let my heart just start reaching out and touching you now that's an intuitive experience of contact. Most people I think that recognize when they feel in contact with somebody that's kind of an inner intuitive thing right there. And that's what we do all the time, a place of our intuition.
So I'm trying to make this allowing this heart energy to reach out and touch you and we have this into feeling of contact, and I just allow it. So I want some memory, some experience, it could be very trivial. I don't put anything on it, except something is going to come into my mind that I hope that when I tell you about it, it'll reflect on its meaning it will provide some helpful perspective for you. And that's the way it is with intuitive functioning, so you get some kind of a picture. In this case, I'll use a memory because it's just easier for people to work with memories. Everybody has memory memories, but not everybody believes they have images or visions or what have you.
The first step was relax and guide into the flow. The second we entered the state of caring about in this case, I'm caring about you and your need. The third is to let the image calm. In this case, we work with memories because it's easier. So that's the memory. And then the fourth is I asked what does this have to teach me?
What does this have to tell me
