Hey everyone, welcome to this lecture. Standard Work is the basis of all improvements. When it comes to implementing Standard Work, your objective is much broader than making employee tasks repeatable and efficient. It is technically impossible to improve any process until it is standardized. One must standardize and thus stabilize the process before continuous improvements can be made. Standardized work is also a key facilitator of building in quality through standardized work, whenever a defect is discovered.
The first question you can ask is what Standard Work was followed. As part of the problem solving process, the observer will watch the worker and go through the standardized worksheets step by step to look for deviations if the worker is following the standardized work and the defects still occur, then the standards need to be modified. Thus, implementing Standard Work is indeed the basis of all improvements in your organization. With that, we come to the end of this lecture. Thank you for attending. See you in the next one.
