Welcome to Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training plus face control face. Today I'm going to present you the value of control face. And you did a lot of good stuff so far. So define, measure, analyze, improve. And now it's really like a ending point of your project. The ending point is for summarizing the change, you're implemented in your process, summarizing by using data.
So as a starting point of control phase, you should come back to very first document of your project to that product out there on the product arctor you have that objective part objective part is about was about what you're going to do with your project. So how you're going to measure the success of your project and you collected data about assess process, before improvement in your measure phase. In control phase, you need to re measure the data again why you need to prove on data, then the change was implemented. So it's not that somebody will tell Okay, ah, the process was improved. Now I can see the difference we are doing right, the customer is not as happy. Now, you need to prove on data that your product was successful.
So you need to re measure the data again. Then you need to calculate the difference. So what was what is the difference between the old data before improvement and the new data after improvement, and those you can present to your project sponsor as a benefit of project. So, it's critical that you will prove that your project brought some benefits based on the objectives from Project Charter. It may happen that your project will bring also additional benefits. So not only those related with the product, Arthur, but during the gamba walk during the waste elimination and nation activity, maybe you you created additional values.
So please make sure that you include all those benefits in your program. somewhere. Okay, so control phase is about the remeasuring. The data very often is the question, should we measure the data just after the improvement was implemented? And I think No, I think we should wait some time for the process for the new process to stabilized. What does it mean?
Because what does it mean some time, it depends on the process frequency. If we have a daily process, and you implemented a change, and you're happy with a complete implementation plan, for example, and today, and the process daily, please make sure you give like a one month to make them themselves familiar with a new process. And maybe two months you need to ask them you know, and and start measuring the new process. When they feel comfortable with a new process, so there are not many issues related to the change of the process. So you can make sure that you capture the right picture after after the change is implemented. In the same time, you can have like a monthly process, or even quarterly applause process.
In this case, you need more time to remeasure the data. And that's why sometimes need six sigma projects are take take longer time, because you need to wait for that process to stabilize after change and re measure the process after after change. Because you need to make sure that you know the change was really implemented and was successfully implemented. You need to prove it with the data. And very often it happens that you know after the change is implemented, there are some additional And external factors that can have like an impact on your process. And sometimes it's very hard to prove that the change in the process results from your improvement and not from the external external parts.
So it is the situation that something happened in your process after implementation. You need to be very precise, what are the benefits of your project? And what are the improvements and you need to prove on data that it is related with the improvements you implemented, and not the improvements that were or maybe the changes that were done by by by the external factor. Okay, but let's say that you have, you waited some time to collect the new data. And now you have the benefits calculation. So you are What are the benefits from your project and now, you need to go to the process owner to somebody who is responsible for the process and confirm the benefits with the person.
So, the person the process owner has to be happy with his benefits. So, it's not that you know, you calculated something and we are done. Now, the process owner has to be very comfortable with all those calculations. And when the process owner is happy with the calculation you presented, you can take the results to your of your project and go to the project sponsor. And when the project sponsor will give you the confirmation that she he is happy with that benefits. Then you can run the meeting or like a report out presentation or you can send the communication via email up to you as you approach is completed and the benefits are like, like I'm presented to the project sponsor and process owner.
So it's good that you will share this information and what is also very important that you will do some kind of recognition. It can be like alarm, it can be dinner, I think about this kind of activities to say really thank you to all people who supported you during the product. And some of them will benefit from your changes implemented so some of them will benefit from your product, and some of them will not so it's so important that you are recognized everybody who supported you, because later you know, it's so important to stay in a good relationship with all those people from your products. So and pink, pink About experience people have with you. So try to make it as as good as possible. Because you're your first project and maybe there'll be more projects.
And if once you are successful, it will be so easy later to convenience the project sponsor for another project to convince your manager for like a maybe blackmail certification. So think about the relation how relationship how to how to, and really say that you are very grateful for for the support you receive from other people. Okay, and now it's time for you to look at every step of the project, look at the Define, measure, analyze, improve and control and collect all required information. So please make sure that that project template you you have for your project is updated that every every step is completed every tab is updated. And as I mentioned before, if you have process map and not in Excel not in PowerPoint but just to draw on the paper or using the sticky notes created using the sticky notes, you can make a picture of the of the process map and upload this to the to the template and the same with Ishikawa diagram the same with the impact difficulty matrix and feel free to use your photos and I'm very happy that our see you're part of the work so your your inputs as as a part of the and your presentation, and please send it to me.
If you want to set up a video call and present Your product to me I'm happy as well. So it's up to you, you want to send it to me and get the feedback later on or you want to present it to me directly and get that feedback in the same time you are going to present up to you after my approval after the green light from me, you will receive the confirmation in email that I'm happy with your project. Well done, you completed your six sigma Green Belt project and I'm ready to give you your certification. And as the last step you need to pay for this certification as and then as soon as the payment is done. I will share with you your certificate and you can proudly call yourself in Six Sigma green belt and I will be very happy to have you because I think this is a great moment.
And and I think this is very important that you will celebrate as well this moment. So have fun. And it was a great effort, you learn a lot. And now it's time to rest to celebrate too, and have a moment of reflection, what was good, what was not good, what where I should improve, if you want to discuss it as well, I'm happy to support you. Okay, so thank you very much for your time. It was amazing, amazing time together.
