Okay, in this slide here, we're going to talk about negative logarithms. And a negative logarithm is when I have an exponent, that's less than one. And my number is less than one. So for instance, a log of point one is 10 to the minus one power, all right, and sometimes you'll see it displayed when we're talking about logarithms with a, with a one over it. Not a one, but a, a dash over it. And again, the log of 001 is 10 to the minus two right there, or sometimes they'll display it with a little line over it.

So they'll say like the log of The log of zero dot 001. What might that be? Well, if we use this type of display, it would be a three there. Right now that you don't see that too often, it's usually a negative number, what we show right there. All right. So, again, the days of using log tables have passed, we have now use a calculator.

I'm going to pull down the calculator. I'm going to clear the slide, pull a calculator now and do that last one as an example for you. Okay, again, I think we've we've done this. So the log of zero dot zero dot 02. Okay, remember, this has got to be between the log of zero dot 01. Yeah, let me write that down.

To zero dot 001. So if you look at that, that's a minus two. And this is a minus three, I'm sorry, a minus three. Okay. So we're going to find that and so let me stop this and get my calculator down. All right, so we're just going to plug it in.

So I go zero dot 02. And we want the log and then we go. Boy, what did I do wrong? Oh, okay. Yeah, that would be one. That's right.

That's right. We'll look at it. This one here. And it's going to be a one we got 1.7 we got minus 1.69. All right. So we've got 1.69.

So we can, we can go back here, and cleric. And again, I can check myself I can say 1.7, change signs and hit tend to the x. And then we go 1.7 that's because we've got a repeating decimal, so we're good. We're good. We're good on that. Let me try that one more time.

That should come out a little bit closer than that. I would think, maybe I'm wrong. Hang on. Now we're good on that. It's just that it's a very large repeat decimal and when we're using negative lots, sometimes isn't it? A little bit of an inaccuracy there?

So we're good. All right. So, again, what we need to do here is just use the calculator to find them. And again, if just to show you this, zero dot 02. Okay, the log, and there we go. Notice it's, it's a very large repeating decimal, and that's where I get my, my inaccuracy is because of that long decimal.

All right. So we're good there. Let me clear the slide off and we'll go to the next slide. Okay, and on this slide, all I want you to do, we've done them go back if you don't understand it, go back and review. Take your calculator. We're asking you to do it via the calculator.

Take your counting Later and find the logarithms here. Okay, here are the answers. If you don't, if you don't get them, let me just make sure I get my right color here. All right, if you don't get them, then go back and review his answers. Two equals 0.02 equals 0.301 620 equals 2.792 8320 is 3.9 20. And again, I'm looking at the logarithm for that.

So the log of 84 200 is four dot 925. The log of zero dot 05 is a minus 1.3010 dot 09 A minus 1.0450 dot 0092 A minus two dot 0457 And the last one zero dot 002 is a minus two dot 6989. Okay, so there you go, we're going to go on to the next slide. Okay, on this slide here, we're going to find any logs, we kind of, we kind of did that a couple of slides back, but we'll do it again and we're going to bring the calculator down and, and do it one more time. So let me stop here and get the calculator. Okay, I brought my calculator down and again, I'm using the one with the operating system.

So let's find the analog of two dot three one and again we use this 10 to the X key. So all I do is go to dot three one and there we go. So the any log or when I want to find the number can raise to the 231 power is 204 with that repeating decimal, so we'll, we'll go to two decimal places here. And let's get my in color here. That should work. So it was 204 dot one seven, I believe.

Get that back. Yeah 204 dot one seven I went to two decimal places. All right, let's let's clear it and do this 10231 and again, hold on. Let's clear that 1020 Let me clear that I hit the wrong key zero. dot 231 Here we go one dot 702. So this one is one dot 702.

Okay. We can go to two decimal places there. So we'll get rid of that. So it's one dot seven. All right. So basically that's how I find the the analogs, I get my calculator and bring it one more time.

I'll go over it. Clear it, I get my calculator. I put this number in here. And I put this number in here and I hit the 10 to the X number. And when I get the log, it means what's the number one I raise the 10 to this power. That's what I'm doing.

Okay, so let's clear the slide, I'm going to clear the slide. And the answers are going to be on the next one. Okay, there, there are the answers right here. And right here, I'm not gonna call them out, you can read them. Again, if you have a problem getting them and you're using a calculator, you're just probably not hitting the buttons in the correct sequence. So go back, review it, give it a try.

And again, you've got to help number on all my Yep. presentations, or an email to contact me through this platform. All right. Talk to you soon.
