Welcome back guys, and in this video, we're going to explore some ways to navigate the viewport using our keyboard. Well, it's kind of a lie, it's going to be using our keyboard in conjunction with some of our mouse buttons. But let's explore those. Now. Firstly, we have move mode. And this can be achieved by using any mouse button, I will choose the left mouse button for the time being, and the W, A, S and D keys.
Now again, it does not matter which one you use the middle mouse button or the left or the right. But this is a way you can simply move around in your level. Now this is a little bit different than fly mode and fly mode is when you hold down the right mouse button, and then use the w a s and D keys. But while you're doing this, you're actually moving the mouse around to fly around your levels. So wherever you're looking at That is where you will be flying to. Okay, you might want to note that while you're doing this, you can actually use a scroll wheel to increase how fast or how slow you're flying around the level right now I'm scrolling on the mouse will backward to slow my rate of flying around very rapidly.
But notice that as I do this, the camera setting up here actually doesn't change. It's kind of like a temporary speed booster, or slow down if you will. Other keys you should know about here, or how to move up would be any mouse button and the E as an early key. So if I hold down the left mouse button and use that E key I will move up. Conversely, if I hold down any mouse button and do the Q as in quick key, I will move down. You can zoom in as well by holding down any mouse button and using the C as in Charlie key You'll notice that as soon as you let go of your mouse button, it'll snap you're right back here.
So maybe there's something over there on that rock, I really want to get a good look at hold down any mouse button, hit the C key, and I can zoom in on it, then release the mouse button snap right back. And as you may have assumed if there is a zoom in there is a zoom out and that can be achieved by holding down any mouse button and the Z as in zero key. And again here too, so long as I'm holding down the mouse button, I'll stay zoomed out, but as soon as I let go of the mouse button, I'll snap right back. So viewport navigation using the keyboard I'm personally personally a big fan of fly mode using the right mouse button and the w a s and D keys to get around. This is my preferred means of traveling throughout the map. Alright, that's gonna do it all for this one guys.
We are going to see you in the next one.
