Welcome to ultimate drumming calm. I'm Jim McCall. I'm going to show you this really cool sound and 16th notes bill. First I'm going to play it for you. I'm going to break it down note by note and show you how it works. One e and a two E and three.
In order to play these great sounding 16th notes, you got to be thinking 16th notes 16th notes were counted, one E and two E and three E and four E. And when I'm playing 16th notes, I'm going to play on every syllable that I say I'm going to use alternating strokes. It's going to go like this, what the and the band and for the bass drum is going to be placed on the quarter notes. So every time I say beats One, two, Three or four, I'm gonna be playing the foot. It's gonna go like this. What E and E and E. Playing this excellent sound and pattern. I'm playing two sixteenths on one drum, two sixteenths on another drum or symbol.
I'm going to put it together it's going to sound like this. One and two. And you can also do it with the symbols. What E and E and E bass drum is still going to be playing on the quarter notes, beats 1234. It's gonna go like this and, and up and up. Now once you get comfortable at that speed, we're going to pick up the tempo a little bit experiment by moving around the drums.
It's gonna go something like this A great way to practice this excellent sounding 16th note fill would be to play two measures eight rock and roll beat. Two measures Phil two measures eight rock beat There you have it another excellent sounding 16th of film that you can add to your drumming repertoire. I'm Jim McCall. Thanks for watching.
