We've got apparently Japanese chestnuts here. And I'm wondering if they are being studied particularly because they are disease prone. For example, there was disease in the US and in North America for many years which destroyed the chestnut crop. They were out of action there for about 50 years. Now recently they have just come back. What is the story with these Japanese chestnuts?
