Okay, so what we did in our previous lessons was to go through the fundamentals of how to practice quantify. And so for each of them, we have this inhaling up, exhaling down, and just trying to get a feeling of the smooth movement of energy through our body. Now, there are a couple variations that we can utilize. And it's important to understand how to use these and why to use these so you can get the best benefit out of your practice, right? So one method is the, what I call the down and dirty method. This is very quick.
So we don't spend a whole lot of time with this. We just inhale up. Exhale, drop. Okay, so it's up and down. For this one we don't particularly think about Front, back and center. We just think energy Through the body, gathering at the top, and then just let it all go, right.
So it just needs to be very, very immediate. So this helps to create this immediate sense of relaxation and a little more vigorous. Okay, second way of practicing this, and this one is what you can use when you're trying to work through blockages. Now you want to be very careful about this one because you don't want to overdo this because sometimes this can, if your blockage is fairly substantial, this can actually you know, create a little bit more tension in that area. So, if you start to feel worse while you're doing this, I suggest you immediately stop, go back to doing some normal breathing. And if it continues, you know, please talk to someone like an acupuncturist who can help to remove those those stagnation points.
So, but this is just kind of a general one and this is one I like to use a lot of times if I'm feeling like a little congestion in this area, maybe you know, my, my thoughts are a little bit too tight, and I need to get things to relax. So how this works is you find the blockage point, and you rest on it. So it's important to think about it as resting, not pushing. Okay, so let's, for example, imagine that you're a little stuck here, and you have an energy blockage at this point. So we inhale up, and we'd start that process. And a lot of times, you'll feel like you You hit something, when you hit that spot is kind of hanging out there.
This let the arms support themselves. You don't want to feel like you're pushing down. And so we want to just relax For your energy relaxing on that spot, continue to breathe. And as you're exhaling, focusing on relaxing the spot, you're going to feel your arms start to move downward. Right. So you're basically it's like massaging out that tension spot, right?
So you find the spot, you just kind of keep a little bit of pressure there. And that's just resting on it. And then as it releases, your arms start to move. So you can do that a few times thinking about smoothing the energy through those spots. Again, think about resting on it, not trying to push through. If after about three or four reps, you're feeling like it's not moving, then my suggestion would be, take a break from it, maybe come back later because you don't want to push particularly when you're dealing with energy, like in the head, trying to push through that can add I start to make things a little bit worse.
So just work it smoothly if it's not breaking through for you, or reset, and if that still isn't working for you, then talk to a professional who might be able to help you through that process.
