Welcome back to blogging masterclass. In this video we're going to talk about using article directories to drive more traffic back to your blog. So, one thing you want to do for your blog is, first of all, you want to make sure that you have solid on page SEO, which means that basically your your site your blog is optimized to show up in the search engines when there's also off site SEO, which is also known as building backlinks. And social media has become kind of an off site SEO as well. But building backlinks is one of the oldest ways to drive traffic to your sites and show up in the search engines. And basically, what we're talking about here is having other sites that link to your blog, which helps you rank in the search engines Okay, so, you know, backlinks are kind of losing their flair a little bit you know, social media as this Google and being kind of, you know, tighten up their algorithm, they're giving less and less credit to backlinks, but they're still a great way to get your site ranked in the search engines because the more sites you have coming in to your site, the more links on other sites back to your blog, the more authority your blog has, okay, now, if these are authority sites, and these are already credible sites in Google, then that's just going to go even further for you.
Okay? An article directories are one of these authority sites that are a great resource for quickly and easily building backlinks that point back towards your blog. Okay. So basically, what you're going to do is take the blog that you've written, and that you've got on your website, and you're just going to submit that article to the article directories. So when you're when it comes to submitting your articles, there's kind of been a long debate out there about whether or not spinning articles is really that important. And a lot of people say it is a lot of people say it isn't.
It can definitely help you. Just if you're trying to create a ton of content spinning can definitely help kind of ease the pain a little bit because you're not having to create as many original pieces and They've got all kinds of articles spinners out there. And basically all it is is you put your article into an article spinner, it messes up the words kind of paraphrases changes things around. So you don't ever have to actually write a new article, it just uses the content you already have. So, we're not really trying to do that here. All we're really trying to do is get our article in an article directory and get the link back to our article.
Okay, so we're not really worried about duplicate content here. Okay, we're not trying to actually get our article on the article directory ranked. Some article directories like easy calm is what I'm, is what I'm talking about here. But we don't actually have to get our article ranked in the search engines. We just want to have articles out there to send back to our original blog. Okay, so gave me a junior resource here, vre toolbar.com, where you can look and see what some of the top article directories are.
Easy. zine.com is one of those top article directories. You may have noticed When you've gone into Google and typed in a keyword, that a lot of times ease on articles is what shows up. Okay, somebody's article and easy, and that's because Google gives a zine, a lot of authority. Okay? So if you have an article in E zine, and it's showing up in the search engines, and you've got a link back to your blog, and that's only going to help your blog get ranked as well.
Okay, so, what I what I recommend is, we always want to have our blog ranked first, okay, that way, if the article in the article directory doesn't rank, it's not that big a deal. Okay. We still get the credit for having that link back to our blog. So I would wait about a week after you get your original post up to then go to E zine calm and submit your article and have that link back to your blog. Okay, just a great way to do it. Now, I've also got a really cool resource for you here.
It's the article submitter and we put a link that you can click on to check this out as well but the article submitter is gonna automatically submit these articles for you. Okay, since Have you having to go to each article submitter? basically all you have to do is use this software it's going to submit all your articles to all the different articles submitters, it's going to cut you know the time you have to do this like immensely, okay, it's going to save you a lot of time. We really like to do this when we're submitting articles just because frankly submitting articles can be kind of a pain. Okay, so this is a great resource. There's other articles submitters out there as well.
You don't have to use this one. This is one that we just really like. So if you're serious about you know, getting a lot of content out there getting a lot of backlinks back to your blog, this is just a great way to do it.
