So for this simple sectional, we're going to go a little bit more for size on this one. So I'm going to go with a taller throne body of a vase. And then we're going to throw the next separate and then connect the two. And you can really make some really complicated shapes using very simple forms of the cylinders or bowls. And it's all about how you attach them. So often, you may look at these larger pieces and think that they're more complicated than what they really are.
It's really about finding the seams and learning how to break up the pieces. So again, this will be I'm just going to throw the body of the piece right now. And then I'll come back in and throw just a tall cylinder for the neck, and it's gonna look pretty simple. throwing them separate, but when you put them together, you'll see what I mean. Because to throw that long neck directly off A body like this, it does get a little more complicated. Now this is normal.
Now as I'm pulling up these walls, I'm going to try to keep this top in as tight as I can Come back in. Hello We have our cone shaped, establish, can it come back in and really got going for that hype and you get some like clay up off of the bottom. But again keeping the cone shape establish keeping that top and nice and tight. Once it starts to flare out, you're going to be fighting it the whole time. Keep it in there. to shape this a little bit right now that we have our base cylinder established and come in and start shaping this and start building out our shoulders a little bit using our ribs which are going to compress the walls, adding strength and also removing the moisture from the surface, which is gonna lengthen our work time on here and get that water off of there so that our clay doesn't get too soft.
Little bit more with it and we're sort of taking this neck and I'm gonna take this neck in nice and tight. I'm not going to take it all the way in. Just like when we're talking about what the simple sectionals goblets only that open chamber between the two sections. We're going to take this all the way in shoulders detail work detail work is always so important Mr. Bright, they're really good vessel and the mediocre trim boy some of this excess clay and we can clean that up and take even more off once this has a chance to set up. But next I'm going to take my major my opening to make sure the base of the neck I'm going to throw is big enough to cover that.
Alright, so next time we come in I'm going to throw a cylinder with an hourglass shape Should we come up with something about like this and maybe a little loose ram to add some movement to the piece and we'll do that next. set this off to the side that is set up for a few minutes. Now we're going to throw the neck. Now anytime you're doing these sectionals are going to be combining multiple parts. I think it's a good idea to keep both sections within eyesight. So as you're throwing them in, you can keep an eye on the overall shape of the
