Okay, let's go back to our audience. Because there's something that's really, really important. I want you to raise your hand if you've ever been a hostage in the audience. And what I mean by that is that you've been stuck in some kind of presentation. That's been really, really painful. Whether it be extremely boring, whether it be hard to understand whether it be long winded or irrelevant to you.
Yeah, I'm getting lots of heads up, the other people are feeling like they're trapped in the audience. Now, I think this comes from the presenter, making the crucial mistake of thinking it's about being when a presentation is not actually about you. It's about your audience. And so when you're preparing for your presentations, you want to ask these questions. Who are they? Why are they here?
And what do they want? And a good idea is when we're doing our activity we put down Our purpose and our environment and our audience have add two more columns, your objective and your audience's objective. Because if they're different, you need to find some way to reconcile it. You need to find some way to make sure the audience feels like they haven't wasted your time either. And if you keep that in mind, it's their time not yours. Then the way you approach your presentation is going to be slightly different.
