So the first exercise then awareness, how can we address a problem that we're not aware of. So I go into a little bit more depth with this work, improving your posture just by creating a new habit. This is kind of a fundamental component as far as good posture is concerned. And this exercise really is just starting to bring your awareness start to reengage switch on some of this muscle tissue. There's a whole neurological network that's running through your proprioceptive system in the muscle tissue there and a lot of us where we've just spent so long like this, that we we call it an euro adaptation where the brain just switches off from it because it keeps sending us a signal saying hello, you need to change Hello, after a while of ignoring it. Then you just start to the brain just switches off from it says okay, this isn't that this isn't that important.
This is not important. I need to do much. But that's why it has to start cranking up the pain or juggle the pain die Oh, in order to say, Hey, hello, pay attention to this. So those of you that are catching this early congratulations is either in scruciating pain, it's fine, we can work with it. But knowing that we need to build our awareness around this head positioning, so that you can start to catch yourself during the day so that you can interrupt this pattern that's causing it in the first place. And B, you can start to work with it.
During the day the the cause of your problem can become the solution of your problem. And the problem is lots of problems. That if you just correct yourself like this now actually, you're trying to fight a system, a structure that has built around your push to habit. So that's what the next exercise is going to address. So today, just relax with this awareness exercise. It's real simple, real easy.
One is where you're going to be lying. On the ground, just getting an understanding of the center of the spine, the top of your spine. Let me just show you real quick, with my noisy skeleton. This is where the brain, this is where the head would sit on top in through here like this. So what we're looking for in this in this exercise is that you can get a sense of this component in here, cervical spine at the top, which is actually in between the two is here, which is if we can start to build our awareness around this component up in through here. It's a game changer for a lot of people.
