So we are starting with a very exciting part of our learning that is putting your own voice to the video that is recording your own sound and putting it as a sound to the video. So this is done in a very simple way through the record option. But before you even put a sound to your video, it is very essential to first mute the video audio because while you are recording this is going to create a disturbance. So what I want you to do is you will select a particular portion, let's say up till here, okay, and you click split, because of course I want to divide the part if I don't do this, the entire video beyond this point will be muted. So we don't require that we just required this portion of the video to go mute. So I right click, and I click on mute.

Now that I have no sound to this part, it will be easy for me to record my own voice. So I keep my mouse pointer here. I click on record option. Then you select record voice over, you'll get a tab which looks like this. Okay, don't make any changes into this because it takes the default settings. But very important thing that you need to do is to unclick.

The mute, by default is going to be mute that is if you keep the mute tick and you record your sound, there's going to be no sound that's going to be captured by Filmora. So you have to untick the mute without fail. Now this button out here is your recording button. The moment you click on it, it is going to give you a countdown Lexie 321 go and then you start recording. Okay, so I'll show you this in real time. I'll show you this live right now and then you will be able to learn it better.
