Alright, ladies and gentlemen, we've gone over all these 16th note cliches, one beat cliches. Now we're going to start mixing them up so that we see what it sounds like when they interact with each other to create more complex rhythm. I want you to try this with me at home. Okay, so first of all, let's just start with this guy here. So four 16th notes, so we'll go nice and slow. Keep it slow.

1234 Da, da, da, dah dah dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, even 1234 dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dah. For me when I'm working with 16th notes. I kind of do this technique where I use like four fingers to like 1234. So each my first finger, the thumb would represent the first one, index finger would be the second, middle finger, and the third, the last one, my ring finger, so like, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah. This would be really good when you're introducing rests and stuff like that. So let's try and mix up this one here.

So da, da, da, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah. Tata. Let's mix this one up with this one here. So this one would sound like this. Three, four, tah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah rest. So if we mix these two up, we're going to have almost eight 16th notes you So I have 4477 16th notes with more than 16th rest, so there's going to be a tiny little rest in between Yeah.

So 1234 dah, dah, dah, dah, dah dah, dah dah, dah, dah dah, dah, dah dah dah dah, dah, dah, dah rest. So, a little faster that sound like this 1234 that's the receptive, receptive rest, without the rest. So just stuff that Tata Tata Tata Tata, Tata, Tata Tata. Yeah. Let's try and mix this one up with this one here. So now we have this rest here, which will break things up.

So, three, four, Tata Tata, Tata Tata Tata Stop Stop, stop. Stop, stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.

Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.

Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.

Stop. Stop. Stop, stop. Let's try and do this one. With this guy here my older. Wow, Bill.

So, three, four. That Stop Stop Stop, stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Stop. Okay without the risk.

So, stop Stop, stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Okay, let's, let's leave this guy alone. And let's try and mix this one with this one here. So now we have to 16th rest in there.

So this is going to start really breaking itself up. So slowly, it'd be three, four, stop, stop. risky, risky, dah dah, dah, dah dah, dah, dah dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, I would I would do this. I would go, dah, dah, dah wrist, wrist, dah, dah, dah dah, dah, dah, dah dah Hmm, okay, let's try and mix. This Wild Bill. This one here.

So there's three, four, top restaurants. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, stop, stop, stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. If I don't say the wrist, this is what it'll sound like. So three, four, da da da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.

Stop Stop Stop, stop stop stop stop Tata Tata, Tata Tata, Tata Tata. Okay, let's try this one here with an eight. And let's mix it up with this guy. So we're going to have an eight rep with a 16th rep kind of next to each other. So this would sound like this, just this one, just to refresh your memory. So three, four, data, read data, read data, read this one, wrist, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, mix them up.

That's that wrist wrist, wrist wrist, without saying the wrist. So 34 Tata, Tata, Tata, Tata, Tata Tata Tata Okay, let's mix up this one with a while bill. So this one read, Chris data, while bill, stop rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, three for rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest that risk, that risk risk that risk that risk that that risk without saying the rest three, four data ta ta ta, ta, ta ta, ta, ta. Okay, let's uh, let's try mixing these guys with the eighth note tied to two 16th notes. So this one sounds like this. So three, four, Tata Tata.

We Sorry, this one would sound like this. Ah Tata Tata, Tata Tata Tata. Let's mix this with this one. So, three for, Tata Tata Tata, Tata Tata Tata with the rest, Tata Tata Tata, Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata. Let's make this one with this one. So here we've got dah dah, dah dah dah, dah, dah, dah are Jingle Bells rhythm.

So, in here we got wrist stop, da, da da, da da da, da da da da da, da da Tata Tata, Tata Tata. Alright, let's try this here. Let's try this one with this one. So this one sounds like this again. So, ta ta, ta ta, ta ta, ta, ta, ta ta, ta ta ta 16 with an A with a 16, Dan. And here we've got stuff wrist, wrist, wrist, wrist, wrist, wrist, or wall bill, Doctor, Doctor, two together, we have da da da da, da da, da da da, da, da da da, da, da, da, da da da, da, da da, da da, da.

One thing I do recommend doing is to draw this chart. actually draw it out yourself, but I think it'll help you memorize some of the cliches and you can also just Kind of hop around, like, you could take this one, this one and this one, just go straight down. Maybe you could even do each cliche twice, and so you get comfortable. So like, da, da, da, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah da da. Once you get comfortable with that, you could do each one just one time. So da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.

And you can even do it without saying the rest. It's good to say the rest of the beginning. But as you get better, you will, you will feel the space and not need to think about the space. So da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da. So you could do each one twice, like this. So da, da, da, da, dah dah dah dah dah dah dah, dah dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, ta ta ta rest, rest.

Rest, rest stop. Da da da, da da. You could do that without saying the rest. And you could do each one one time. So like, da da, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah. All right.

Thanks very much.
