Hello guys and gals, today we're going to be doing a to b. Musical dictation, we're only going to be using the cliches that you have learned so far in previous lessons, I need you to get a pin something to ride on. I would like for you to draw this little diagram here. So you're gonna have basically eight boxes, right? This column here is gonna represent the first downbeat. So beat number one, in this column here.
It's gonna be covering beat number two, down beat number two. This column here is going to be covering downbeat number two. I'll give you an example first, so I'll count it like this. So we got two beats here. So I'll just watch one, two. And then we'll begin.
Yep, so Here we go first example two, ah, what's up? One, two. Ah. So you would need to write half note. So looking at this one, too, I'm struggling more example. One, two, bom, bom.
Two, bomb bomb. So that would be two quarter notes. So, to M bomb. We're just going to continue going down like this. We're probably gonna have seven boxes so you might as well maybe draw Three more boxes. Started space.
Alright, let's do exercise number 1212 look like this. Alright, so we've got our quarter note and a quarter rest. So, yeah. Um, all right. Exercise number two, go. One, two.
Ah yeah. What Ah, so that would be our half note. So 12312 bom bom bom bom In one, two, bom bom bom. Right That would be then we would just take this guy and they came up like this. But remember, technically these stupid cliches you can look at it like this but you can Just keep that line there. All right, so this is sound like this one, too.
Yeah. Okay, let's see number 4121 more time to um Yep. So this would be to eighth notes here. And then here just arrest right, so this is like this. One, two. All right, I've drawn three more boxes here.
He needs to have three more or three more than this. Exercise. So this will be exercise number five. Okay. 1212 All right, so that would be your quarter rest and a quarter note. One, two, too.
All right. Exercise number 6121 more time. One, two Did you get down? Alright, so that's just going to be our half note rest. So that would look like this, too. Maybe the easiest one.
All right, last one, number 712. So, one, two. Yep. So that would look like this. You have your quarter rests and you'd have two eighth notes. One, two One, two.
All right, catch you in the next video.
