For the first page, what I like to do is I have my book here, I'll just take out the first page, so that I know what I'm working on. And right here, I want to put my quote somewhere on the page, and I cut it out. You can find peace, not by rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are on the deepest level. And I'll put that down here. And I think I'm just gonna put a little glue on the bottom of it, just so I can attach it and then I'll use some washi tape to hold it in place and add a visual element. So I put my glue on, figure out where I want to put this, and then I decide what else I want to include on this page.
So this will be the first page that I see when I use my journal. Take some of this washi tape. I don't have to use the entire piece and I don't have to cover it exactly. Kinda like this one happens to say beautiful all over it. So I think I'll just include that just as a visual element, maybe one more piece right on top. And there are certain things I like to include just so that in the future when I come back, since it's my reference tool, I'll include the date.
So I'll add March 2020. And I might also give it some thought, but I might put something about social distance or the corona virus, something in here, basically just something to help ground me And remember, remind me what I'm using this journal for. So this is a way when I'm creating social distance, and I'm kind of self quarantining and just staying in my home laying low being calm. So that's the point of that. So I might add a little blurb to this piece.
