What's up guys Zack Lau here. Welcome to another episode of escape school. In today's episode, we're going to be teaching you how to skateboard for beginners. So grab your board, and let's get started. If you just got a skateboard or you're brand new to skateboarding, this is the episode of skate school for you. In this episode, we're going to cover the very basics of skating what you need to learn and get used to to get started.
First, make sure you have a full complete skateboard from your local skate shop. Find a very smooth flat pavement that you can ride your board on. Now the very basics of skateboarding, you want to learn five things. Determine your stance, it's extremely important to figure out what stance you are whether you ride regular or goofy footed. You can figure this out by however you naturally ride and jump on the skateboard. Whatever feels the most comfortable for you.
After you determine your stance, you want to learn how to gain speed and push on your skateboard at first you might start pushing with Mongo it's very easy to teach yourself how to push rake, but either works fine. Again, it's whatever is most comfortable for you. When you gain speed and start to ride faster, it's extremely important to be able to balance on your skateboard. You can increase your balance skills in a couple different ways. by riding your skateboard more and practicing more often getting an endo board or Balance Board something to help you practice your balance in your living room or in the comfort of your home. Stretching.
Working out and jump roping also help to increase your balance. The fourth and most important step to starting skateboarding is safety. If you're first starting out, you want to make sure to always wear your safety equipment. Meaning a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and even risk guards. This will help to protect you when you fall when first starting out because believe me You will fall, falling and learning to fall is all part of the art form in sport. wearing protective gear and taking safety precautions to stay safe can help keep you uninjured.
During these falls, it's also extremely important to stretch before you skate. Stretching helps to avoid injuries. The fifth and final step to learning how to skateboard is to have fun to cruise, enjoy the outside in nature, and to have fun with your friends. That's what skateboarding is all about. So as long as you're having fun, that's the most important thing. You don't have to learn every trick or be the best skateboarder to have fun on your skateboard.
