Welcome to the first trimester section of the pregnant looking course, we have a lot to talk about in this section. Just a couple of reminders. The focus of this course is not on the medical perspective of pregnancy. And this course is not intended in any way to replace either a birth class or advice for medical professionals. However, at times, we will discuss some common medical procedures and decisions because I do want you to be aware of them, so you're prepared to make decisions on these things as they come up. I do start the course out talking about some medical things that come up in the first trimester.
But for the majority of this course, I'm focused on helping you be prepared in a practical way. So you can successfully plan out the tasks you need to do throughout your pregnancy. And during the first trimester, you'll most likely start to notice changes with your body and start experiencing symptoms, which may somewhat disrupt your normal routine. This can make it challenging for you to get additional things done that you need to do in pregnancy because there's just so much going on and you have to This huge change in your life that's coming up. But the first trimester gives you the opportunity to start preparing early in a practical way for your babies. So it's best if you can take advantage of that.
My goal with this course, is to help you get an early start on things when you can, but to also balance this was spacing things out, so you aren't doing too much at points. And I also want you to know what basic things you can start preparing for. So with that in mind, go ahead and click on the next lesson, and we'll start talking about common appointments during your first trimester. Also, you can download and print out the PDF for the first trimester workbook. And I encourage you to look through and use this for this entire first section.
