Hey, so in this video, I'm gonna be talking about what is lead generation. Specifically, I think this is an important video because either they you have to know what you're what you're selling, right you have to understand your value the service you're providing so that when you get on a call with a client, or when you get when you meet a client, or potential clients for that matter, you're able to tell them very effectively and very efficiently, you know, what you do and how you can help them. Right. I think this really goes a long way. Because when you talk to clients, if you have no idea what you're doing, then they're not going to ask you to help them right. So let's get started.

As defined by HubSpot lead generation is the process of attracting and converting strangers and prospects into someone who has indicated interest in your company's product or service. Right. That was a mouthful, but really lead generation is finding people who need your product or service right. That's the Essentially what you're doing. So let's go through some examples. Let's say that for a moment, she's a realtor.

Now, I want you to think from what what exactly what kind of leads does a realtor want? Right? What will help a realtor get more business? And the answer to that is homebuyer leads, right? realtors want people or connections with people who are interested in buying a home or interested in selling a home. That's how they make that's how they make money.

Tow truck companies, how do they make money they need more leads from people who are looking to get their car towed, right people who are on the road who just got into the accident. They need a tow truck company and your conduct you'd be the bridge between the customer and your client. Next is a gym, right? So it really is A gym needs more gym members, right? They can always use more people going in and out of the gym, paying them a monthly subscription. So that's where you're helping them as well.

Right? People looking for gym, and dentists, right dentist, pretty much everyone is a dentist, but you're helping people find that dentist near them, essentially. Right, you're giving you're putting an offer out there for your clients at the end of the day, and helping them get more leads. And really what I'm trying to say is, at the end of the day, all businesses need leads, right? What's amazing about this is that this means that you can really literally reach out to anyone and see if they need marketing help. And chances are they do and that's where you would come in, right?

You can be like, Hey, I know how to do XYZ and I know how to help your business really grow and really scale. Right. That's where you come in. Now the challenge is, of course, finding businesses that are in the right state have the marketing budget for you to kind of come in and help them. So let me give you some examples. So at the end of the day, the two things, as I mentioned in the introduction video, is that we're hoping we're going to be running Google ads and Facebook ads for your clients, right?

If you're not familiar with either of those, I mean, chances are, you've seen them, but you may not have kind of realized that you're looking at an ad, when you run a search on Google. Let's say you're looking for hotels in Las Vegas, and you search for Vegas hotels, you see this little piece here that says Add, right, that's, that is what you're paying for at the end of the day. Right? Your your client is giving you money, so that you can run ads, and put their website to the top right. Let's say your website, your client is Expedia. When someone clicks on this website, then they'd be going through They'd be taken to Expedia.

And you'd be paid. More likely on a retainer basis. I'll get more into the payment side of things later. But this is what a Google Ad looks like. Right? Not all businesses use Google ads, some businesses, it makes more sense to advertise on Google some businesses, it makes more sense to advertise on Facebook.

It really depends. With Google, typically, it's more for urgent things, right? Let's say you have you. You are in a car crash, right? You're gonna look up something on Google, right? You're gonna look up tow trucks in Los Angeles, chances are you're not going to scroll through Facebook and look for a tow truck.

Whereas for something like a dentist, you would find that actually on facebook, facebook tends to work better on Google. So let me show you what a Facebook ad looks like. So when you're scrolling through your Facebook newsfeed, you're gonna see things like this right? You're gonna see Some profile Hey silky skin, for example, you're going to see some text here, right? It's usually talking about the offer and then you're going to see some sort of image or video or carousel something here that tells the the potential lead, you know, what you're offering what your what your services, right, so in the case of Hazel Kissin, hey, silky skin, they have a video talking about their laser hair removal products, right. And then once they click shop, now they get taken to a, what is called a funnel or landing page.

And I'll show you what that looks like. So when you click on shop, now, you get taken to this landing page where you have to pay $314 you can add to cart, you know, there's a whole bunch of information here. And the reason this is a funnel is because what is that what a funnel essentially means is that you go through a series of steps, right? The first step is this landing page, right this page where you get to see you get to choose to add to cart Once you add to cart, then you have the option to put in your payment information, right? And then once you put in your payment information, that's the second step of the funnel, then you click actual payment submission. Right?

So the reason it's called a funnel is because every step of the way, there are less and less people, right? Not all the people who click on that ad will actually purchase this product, right? Some people are just clickers, they click for fun, or these, you know, they're interested in the product. They're not actually serious for buying. And then a subsection of those people who actually no click on this web, this landing page will actually go to the payment page and put in their information, right? But a percentage of those people might actually not end up buying because, you know, they get they guilty.

They feel like they shouldn't be spending this much money or, you know, there's a whole bunch of different reasons, maybe the credit card gets denied. And that's really what a funnel is. It's fancy way of saying a series of steps. So putting this into more context with lead generation, this is a sample funnel for tow truck companies. Essentially what you do here is you run a Google ad, right and you once someone clicks on the ad, they get taken to this funnel. In the first half of the funnel, they have to enter their name, phone number, email, and then they would click the, you know, the red button here, have a driver contact me ASAP.

The moment they click that button, you would set up a whole automation process. I'm going to show you that eventually in the videos on how you can how your clients will automatically get an email, right of the name, phone number, email, and then all they have to do is call up that person, right? This person that has already expressed interest and has already shown that they need a tow truck. So all your person needs to do is call this highly qualified lead and figure out where exactly they are and You know, go to them and help them talk. And already, you've helped drive business for your client. Right?

This is what you're doing. And then the second page, as I mentioned, it's a funnel. So there's a series of steps. The second step is a thank you page where, you know, they've submitted their information. Now you're saying help along the way, we're going to contact you as soon as you can. But you know, if you're still not, if you can't wait, then just give us a call here.

Right. So that's, that's an example of what things look like. So that's it for this video. Hopefully, you have a better understanding what lead generation is and the kind of value that you can bring. This again, this is a super important video because other than that you need to be confident in your services, to get clients to pay you money, right. That's what it comes down to at the end of the day.

So that's it for this video. In the next video, we'll be talking about what that business model looks like. And how How you get paid. See you the next video.
