When we do 3d modeling, there are times when we need to select ages and faces to manipulate this, that thing according to our need. So we have standard procedure of selection. Like we when we click left click on this particular age and press shift. And we can select multiple ages, and along with faces with this particular method. Along with that we have another tool or what we can say another method to select that particular technique. When we just left click on this particular edge, and when we right click on it, we have an option that is selected.
And under that option, we have three more options like connected faces, all connected and all on same faces layer. So phase twos connected phases here. You can see that the faces that are attached to this particular edge are now selected. So, it is very easy for us to select particular faces around this edge when we will be having more complex model it will be very useful for us. And we have if you want to, if we have multiples ages and and like if we have multiple ages and when we select if we have a particular face when we have laundry ages, connected faces, all connected, all insane layer and all this stuff Same material. So, I will discuss each option one by one.
First let's discuss all connected faces boundary ages, okay. So when we click on boundary boundary ages you can see along with this face, we have selected the boundaries. And when we select connected faces, you can see along with the boundary edges and this particular face, we can see we have selected the faces that are on the adjacent to that particular square or that particular face. So, it's quite easy for us to select the topmost layer of any particular base like say this there is a roof so we can select that thing. And the next option we have all connected so everything which is connected to this particular face, we can select it here, and it's quite simple for us. So, next lists all assumed So, everything on level zero, so, everything will be connected have selected and the last one is always same material.
And so, I have in this model, I have provided material to this surfaces that we have we face Tyler will go shaded with texture. So you can see the Alo blank has vibrant texture and the base has metallic textured in it. So if I collect the selected this face and go to selection and all the same material, you can see I have selected only only those faces that have same material applied on it. So it's quite helpful for me if I have created a very large area of different surfaces or materials, so I can select a particular Particular texture and all over the model. Similarly, we can do this with the same if I want to select all four legs that have same texture, I will go with selection select with the same action. So you can see we have selected the texture.
So, this these are the tools that are quite helpful for us to manipulate and navigate in SketchUp. So next we will be discussing about more in SketchUp more tools that we have in SketchUp
