Beautifully image of the train track the cross section of it as an AI section. This is because AI sections are easy to manufacture and also can take better loads. Let's draw this train track in fusion 360. Let's start by creating the AI section. I'm going to create sketch and selecting my plane. I'm using the line option.
I'm not drawing anything according to dimensions so that we can drop mini designs and learn quickly. If we have the actual engineering drawings, it is always better to draw exactly to the dimensions. Now I'm deleting this line. Now this is half of the Data I have sketched, I need exactly the same on this side also. So I can use mirror tool, which is available in sketch. So here, I can use this mirror tool.
But for using the mirror tool, I need one line about which this has to be Madrid. So I can go to line and I'm drawing this line. But if you see this line is not needed in my design. So what I can do is I can click on this and in the sketch palette, observe the stool construction. So when I click here, it will be changed to dotted line. That is this will not be available in the design but I can make use of it.
Now I'm going to the mirror tool. Here are the objects that have to be mirrored. I'm pressing Control, so that I can select all of them. The Mirror, mirror line is this construction line. So here you can see how easily I could use this mirror option. So now this mirror option, let me first check whether this is a close regard or not.
I'm clicking in between, you can see the complete thing is getting selected. So I'm going to stop sketch and I'm clicking e4, extrude and selecting this line. So here, this is a train track. Of course, it's only half of it. Have a look at this train track. All the train tracks are almost like this.
They're never straight, but they are. How can we design this train track. Let's learn a new tool to do this in the next video.
