Welcome to module six. In this module, we're going to talk about your environment. We're going to talk about how to make friends and make language learning fun for you. And we're going to talk about them the learning and how to adapt your environment to yourself and your goals. So in this video, we're going to talk about subliminal learning. So first of all, I want to start off with the definition that I found about learning just to help you to understand what it is.

So subliminal influences or messages affect your mind without you being aware of it. So this can be quite negative when you're unconscious to it. This is how advertising can be used to manipulate. We can use the same power to for our good and our own life to help us move forward with our language learning. So what I've done in the past is I've learned Spanish and Italian pronunciation through watching YouTube videos. So I'd watched Spanish Italian natives on YouTube and over time, I would just pick up the right ways of saying things I didn't ever actually put a lot of conscious effort into Getting the pronunciation right?

I just learned it because it dove into the deep end and watch native speakers speak from from day one. Another way to use subliminal learning to your power or to your advantage is to, you can have posters in your room, or you can even have posters around your house of the objects in your house in your target language. Basically, what you want to be doing is to just put stuff around, you start creating an environment, artificial environment, which is more in your target language, that way things will seep in. without you even knowing it, I wouldn't put I'd use an antenna with a conscious approach to learning I wouldn't put all my hopes it's within learning. I wouldn't say that, that this is gonna help you to learn a language without you putting any effort I would use it in tandem just to create that environment where you're setting yourself up for the best, best opportunity for success in the long run.
