Hello, and welcome to the lecture on techniques for stress. When someone comes to see you for stress, don't worry about doing any deep healing work initially. People who are stressed generally want immediate relief. They may not have the awareness or the desire to take it any deeper than just relaxing. So in your first series of sessions, just help them learn how to relax, use progressive relaxation, or hypnotic stories, or even the deepening technique, there's really no need to take it any further. And if they fall asleep during the session, that's fine.
It may be exactly what they need. I also highly recommend recording a 10 minute relaxation audio that you can send home with your clients after the session is over. That will help them learn to relax on a regular basis. And then hopefully they'll start to record Nice some of the numerous health benefits that meditation offers. If your client is still stressed, and they come to see you for more sessions, then it's time to go into the hypnotherapy toolbox and pull out your arsenal of techniques. hopefully by then, you'll educate your client on the dynamics of suppressed emotion, which may be contributing to or creating their stress in the first place.
Then you can go about the business of deeper and permanent healing by using any techniques that seem appropriate to you. So that's it for strategies to use for stress. Good luck on helping people distress and I'll see it the next lecture.
