Hello and welcome to the lecture on death and die for some unusual reason. I've always been attracted to situations that revolve around death and dying. It's some type of unusual gift that I was born with to help people to transition from this life into the next. And it doesn't happen a lot. But when it does happen, it's very noticeable. And the places I noticed it the most Ronnie spent six years working in a cancer radiation treatment clinic as a hypnotherapist.
I was around death and dying a lot. And for as many clients that I helped go through miraculous healings with their cancer, there are just as many that I prepared for a peaceful death. And sometimes I would know that my clients were going to die long before they did. And in my personal practice, as a hypnotherapist I have some very spectacular experiences where I help people cry Silver into the afterlife. And it was mostly about helping their families let go of a loved one that they were very attached to. And in my personal life, I also helped both of my parents die from cancer.
So this is a very sacred experience that I'll never forget helping them both crossover. Now when you're working as a clinical hypnotherapist where you may see death and dying situations most frequently, are going to be one with your personal family. So you may be the person in your family that helps a loved one crossover from this life to the next and ease them through the death and dying process. Also, in your private practice as a hypnotherapist, you may work with terminally ill patients like I did in the cancer unit, or you may have a calling even further than I do and helping people transition. We work with an organization like hospice that specifically focuses on the death and dying process. Now what I do when I get confronted with a situation when Dealing with death and dying, is that by almost unconsciously, naturally and immediately enter a state of calm and peace.
It says if I create this space around me that's nothing but calm. And then I find the still point within that calmness to create a sensation of peace. And then I started admitting the sensation of calm. So it affects not only me, but it affects everyone that I come in contact with. So it's something that I kind of slipped into, but it's something you can also train yourself to do as a hypnotherapist. Now, when you're working with a family who's dealing with a dying member, sometimes they absolutely need someone who's a disinterested third party to come into that situation to help everyone let go.
So the dying person may need to let go of their family so they can move on to the afterlife. And the people who remain behind may need some help letting go of the loved one who's dying. So if you get called into that situation, it's a very, very Sacred occupation that you take on, and it can provide some very deep, deep healing and peace in the dying process. So don't hesitate to take that on and just remember to enter a state of very deep peace when you're in that situation. Now, if you find yourself as a hypnotherapist or a leader in meditative healing, where you're dealing with someone who's facing death or going through the dying process, what you want to do at some point or another, which I figured out when I was working in the cancer unit, at some point, you kind of want to open the conversation to allow them to talk about death and their death in particular, because what happens is that when they go into facing death or dying, their family members usually don't talk about that their caregivers don't have time to and certainly their friends are going to shy away from the topic.
So what I found out when I was working with people who are dealing with death and dying, I've kind of opened the question say, so what do you think about death? And what I found out is that most all the people who are dealing Dealing with cancer or terminal illness, wanted to talk about it and they feel a huge relief, and just talking about the process all the different prospects of dealing with death and dying. So, you know, don't bring up the subject right away. But if you work with them for a few sessions, kind of open it up at one point, and don't really direct the conversation, we just kind of keep it open ended, like saying, what do you think about death? Okay, so So now you've talked about death, and you've had some sessions with that. And here's a technique that I learned that is absolutely beneficial and working with people around issues of death and dying.
So what you want to do is you want to take them into the deeply relaxed state, get him into a deeply meditative state. And when they get there, take them into the experience of their own death. So have them imagine their own death as if they're actually experiencing it. And then, once they go through that experience, having go into the afterlife, to experience or to imagine what it would be like after they leave this world and For some people that can absolutely be completely transformative, and erase their fear of death, so it can create this deep state of peace and acceptance of their inevitable death, because we're all going to die at some point, right? So, so don't hesitate to use that technique of taking taking your client into the experience of their own death and having them experience their perception of the afterlife afterward. So what I'd like to do after this particular lecture is take you to a story of someone that I helped to the death and dying process.
So please enjoy that story. And I'll see at the next lecture thanks
