Mind Maps, they've probably noticed throughout this course, I've been using mind maps to help you remember, how has that been working? Well, I'm going to show you now, you may have noticed on each my map, we have little tendons that come off these little things is only filled them the reason that we use chunking. So remember in the previous video, our short term memory can only store a few pieces of information. So the reason why I've limited because I want you to remember the key facts and figures. Before we go into more detail. Then notice each one is use some form of visual images.

This will help because you're using various tools to help decoder all together. Now decoding is where you use various senses to remember information. For example, if you've read an article about chocolate, it's all good just reading it, but you can actually experience the tastes of the chocolate, the sound of when you break it, the texture as you're reading along It's going to help more specifically with mind maps using kinesthetic because you're actively having to write down. So you're using more than one sense to remember what you're noting. Now for this, I encourage you to use my maps and effective note taking tool, not just for your thinking, also for your memory.
