Your blog. Depending on the promotion you're running, you might want to consider adding a countdown timer on your blog. It may be on all blog posts, or just the index. This will come in handy when you do fixed date campaigns, and you want everybody to know about them. An example of a free state campaign would be you earn a promotion 50% off, let's say, from 20th this month to 25th. This month, only five days it's fixed.
That's why we call it this way fixed dates. The perfect way to display your promotion would be to use a widget or tap or button ribbons. Basically, you have a little information about the offer countdown timer in a button to the sales page or the checkout page depending on how you structure your funnel. Another thing to consider is this. Let's say that you run a promotion for three days and you send emails to your subscribers with Links to your blog post where you have the button ribbon running. Of course, once they get there, they can see the countdown timer, right?
All good, but unfortunately, they don't take action. Another day goes by in the prospect lands on your block again, the timer is still there, but it already looks familiar to the prospect. And chances are they will ignore it. You might have heard of this effect. It's called banner blindness. The question is what you can do about it so you can attract the attention of this returning visitor?
And here is the answer. The best way to solve this is to change the color the design of the scarcity element. In the scarcity plugin, I'm about to present there are timer states. Basically these are different designs of the same timer. So what you can do is have a timer with one design at the beginning of the promotion But when there are 24 hours left, you can create a different design or state that will increase the urgency further. I think you can already guess which color we're going to use to achieve that.
You guessed it right the red color. From a very young age, our brains are trained to be on alert and pay attention when they see the red car. Think about the traffic signs. The warning messages for example. Besides the color of course, you can change the wording of the urgency message. This is how you will grab the attention of any returning visitors and your chance of converting them increases significantly.
I believe this helps. Thank you for watching and stay purposeful
