In this video I would like to present a tool we will be using to create scarcity marketing campaigns. It's a paid WordPress plugin called thrive ultimatum, the product was introduced to the market by Thrive Themes. They have several plugins and themes, and their focus can be explained with one word conversions. At the time of recording thrive ultimatum costs $97 one time fee. But if you choose their monthly subscription, you get access to all their plugins for $20 which is a bargain. Now why did they choose thrive ultimatum?
Let me give you six points. Number one, I can run the three types of campaigns I've mentioned fixed dates recurring and evergreen. Number two, it's one time fee. Number three, I can create unlimited campaigns. Number four, I have access to beautiful and customizable design tools. templates, all that mobile responsive.
Number five, I can run a campaign and have timers on my sales page, blog posts and other pages and all the timers will be perfectly synchronized. In number six, I can create a conversion event that will basically end the campaign for those people who have triggered the event. What does that mean? Let's say that I run a promotion for three days, a visitor sees my offer, likes it and takes action. After they bought, they land on the thank you page or a confirmation page. I can set it up is a conversion event in thrive ultimatum, I use this logic it's very simple.
If a person visits this page, then stop the campaign for them. Otherwise, the client will be seen promotions of a product they've already bought, which is not cool. Now, let's do a quick walkthrough so you can get familiar with features in the interface in general. When you install the plug in and go to the ultimatum dashboard, you will see the option new campaign. As you can see, I have several campaigns running. Click New campaign and a pop up appears.
Where you have a few options. You can build a campaign from scratch or customize one of the available templates 70 offer Christmas special enter month specials. Let's choose build from scratch. Give the campaign a name. And here on this screen is where the magic happens. Basically, the guys from thrive have created a guide that will show you the next steps you need to take in order to create and publish a campaign.
First we need to choose a campaign type as you can See we have three options here fixed dates recurring, and evergreen. Next, you have display. This feature allows you to choose the pages where your timer will appear. The next feature is called lockdown. By default the campaign is open, meaning anyone will be able to see your sales page. However, if you want your sales page to be accessible only during your promotion, the lockdown feature is perfect for that very briefly to make it work, you will need three pages pre access promotion and expired.
And if anyone is trying to access the promo page, but the promotion hasn't started yet, she will be sent to the pre access page or let's say the promotion has ended. She will be sent to the expired page. I know this is a concept that it takes a little bit more time to digest But we will have a chance to talk about it in detail. Next you have designs, choose a design type. As you can see top and bottom ribbons widget in the shortcode that you can insert by the way on any Patreon like then you have a timeline. This is quite useful because it shows you when the campaign starts, when it ends, and what designs will be displayed when.
If you remember the lecture about banner blindness and how to overcome it so you can get the attention of returning visitors. This timeline is where you do the setup. You can say the promotion is six days. I have one top ribbon with two states, one green and one red. I want the first four days to display the green state but the last two direct final finally you have the conversion event. Here you choose the trigger.
Most common example a visitor reaches a thank you page or a confirmation page. Then on step two, you select what the action you want to perform is entered the campaign. Or maybe you want to move to another campaign very nice feature, you can start the campaigns in this way, a bit more advanced. But still, once you have done all the settings, you go ahead and click the campaign status button. Right now it's red, false, but when you start it, it will become green. One final point.
In each feature, you will see this video tutorial button. Of course, I will explain all the features here in this section. But if you ever get stuck, watch the tutorials they will serve you is a good reminder of how to use the features. Alright, in short, that was about it. A quick walkthrough to get you familiar with the plugin. In the following videos, we will actually set up some real campaigns.
Thank you for watching. Stay purposeful
