For final base layer, I want to do the mittens and that heart. And so for those colors, I'm going to go in there with this turquoise. So I'm going to put just a little bit of water on the mittens and the heart. And because it's a smaller area, I'm going to switch to my number one brush. I'm going to pick up a little bit of pigment. And I can always just wet it with a little bit of water if it dried on my palate, and I'm just gonna add a little bit of color right to the edge.
Not worried about getting it all colored in. I'll do the same thing over here with the turquoise on the mittens. So there we have those images done. While we're here and with my number one brush, I'm going to take a little the civilian blue all by itself and lighten it with a brush stroke of water. And so from here, I want to go in and create just a little bit of shadow underneath the nose. And this part of the hat here, the little fluffy ruffle, and I'll pull that color down.
And then I'll take a little bit of it on my brush, very lightly and just go over here to create some shape. I'll rinse my brush and just blend over it just so there's no harsh edges, they'll just be a hint of shadow, a different color blue. Then I'll come back in a little more surly in blue and a very sharp point on my brush. And I'm just going to echo the shape here, underneath the top of this hat this little brim rinse my brush, dry it off, and just blend it out. It's a very subtle color. And it just takes a little bit of the white, stark white off that paper.
Go in there with a wet brush, blend it out. And then with whatever's left on the brush, I'll do the little ruffle around The wrist will let this layer dry and we'll come back in and start adding our details.
