Hello, I'm Daniela melon, an author and artist. Thank you for joining me for today's class on painting watercolor Valentine gnomes. In today's class, we will paint three images of these colorful and somewhat silly, Valentine gnomes. This class is for beginners, and I'll take you from the first steps of a painting, including setting up a palette, making a paint swatch, and using the template to trace your image. From there, we'll paint three gnomes, complete with oversized beards, silly hats and unusual Valentine inspired palette of pinks and earthtones including water and sand. To start, it's as easy as selecting your image and then tracing it.

Choosing your pigments and then making layers will create subtle background colors. Then add patterns which will unite the image and make it fun and festive. I hope you enjoy the process of creating these multi layered gnomes. By adding our layers, we take a simple line art image and make it whimsical and more complex, even for something as imaginative as gnomes. Thank you for joining me now let's get started.
