Characteristics of successful Lean Six Sigma projects. There are several characteristics of a successful project they include the project should be related to your day to day work. assume for a moment that we are executing a project that is impacting someone else's day to day work. What will happen? First of all, we need to have his buy in to enter his workspace. Second, he should be able to allocate enough time and resources to work with you on that project.
If both work, then doing project in someone else's day to day work is possible. However, do we face fewer problems in our day to day work? Why not get our house into order before focusing on someone else's house? The project should be manageable in terms of timeframe. We do not want to do projects that run like a five year government plan. The projects must be quick, focused, timely bound with visible returns.
Longer projects have a tendency to run out of steam as time progresses. A Lean Six Sigma project timeframe runs anywhere between 1.5 months to six months to close.
