Like your shirt, welcome to class number two. This is your ultimate visibility formula. And this specifically is about Knock Knock Who's there? Me, I want to be interviewed. So this class is predicated on completing the formula. So you will have it going forward.

All the specific pieces you need to get a hell yeah, when you find a show that you say I'm the right fit, this would be very good for me, this would be a great place for me to put my attention and energy, I'd be a contribution there, they would be for me. great synergy. So the beginning of this program, there's a lot of the technical stuff and the technical stuff is literally just filling in the template. Because once you have that you have a lot of freedom. Then you The next classes we can start working together on coaching, how to be interviewed, what kind of elements to bring to an interview, what makes you an interesting guest or not interesting guest? How to show up so that you get results.

And then eventually we'll be talking about the back end. Because once you've completed an interview, there actually is a back end, there's things you want to do to create an influential relationship with people. So I'm thrilled that you're all here. I am clear based on all the emails and phone calls that I got that everybody has been working very hard to create something. And, you know, don't panic, because there's nothing you're going to write that suddenly becomes, Oh, I can't ever adjust this, right. The truth is, even myself, and I've been interviewed on over 1000 media outlets, I still make adjustments, I still tweak my bio, some things you know, you just gain more knowledge you have a few more things to As time goes on, and somehow as you keep messaging yourself out in the world, I mean, a you're seeing where you get results, I say this, I do this, I be this, oh, I'm getting results, these things, not so much.

I'll stick over here. And the other thing is you start gaining so much confidence and vocalizing energizing who you are out in the world, there's so much tremendous feedback even within yourself when it lands that you start being able to tweak. So just know you're going to create something that is not only good enough, which is not a word, we have a lot or a feeling. We feel a lot like, Oh, I'm good enough right now. You are. And whatever you create that is actually good enough, is going to be perfect.

To still get a yes, you're going to be better than most trying to submit themselves. So please know that you're going to leave with the tools that are going to allow those stories To open so Knock, knock, Who's there? Tada. It's me. And I'm ready for a yes. Okay, so we have a quite a few pieces.

To catch up. I want to reiterate that outside of the gifted session you're going to receive for anybody who feels like some of these pieces really need work, whether it's the before tech strategy, whether it's the during interview coaching, whether it's the after, or anything else in this visibility process, please know that I give you a reduced rate for the private sessions in addition to the one I'm already gifting you. And yeah, just reach out and we can set that up. I also want to give you a heads up that next week. There is no class and I'm going to be speaking on stage. I'm going to be at the new media summit.

I'm also in celebration of something my radio shows slash podcast show. I've been doing this Over 12 years as a host of a talk show called dare to dream. I just found out yesterday that I'm a finalist in the People's Choice podcast awards under entertainment. Thank you, haha, yay, under entertainment. And it really is a great coup for all of you who are well versed in setting intentions when I was speaking with a known coach out into the world, and they were asking me at the beginning of the year, what do you want to create this year? And that was one of the things that came up for me.

You know, I used to win awards when I first started and there were many people populate in this field way before podcasts. But now I've been doing this a long time and it's come up for me again, I thought I'm ready. And so this just being nominated was huge finding out yesterday that I'm a finalist and I mean, think of the biggest podcasts and the names. That's who I'm up against. It's no joke, so I'm honored and humbled even right now. The second piece of cake For you.

Thank you. Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. And I'm, and I'm certainly open and willing, I'll say that beyond the Beyonds to receive this, I'm very much in receptive mode right now. And I feel really well taken care of in a lot of levels. And I feel very blessed to have all of you.

Because look at who I attract. So many of you wrote to me like, Wow, I can't believe who's in this class. I know, right? Like, look around at who you attract. Look at who your tribe is, who your community is, who you're choosing to play with. This is so beautiful.

And, and you are my people. So whether it's working with the healers, or heal the healers, or whether it is as friendships, this is the conversation, this is what excites me. So, the other piece is I reset some of the settings in zoom, so that when you come on from now on just you everybody Even for my radio show, it's going to have you muted at first. So when it comes time to talk, you want to unmute yourself. Okay. That said, what else I want to talk about wins.

So let's just spend a little brief time here at the beginning because it's a beautiful place to start. If you worked on your message and felt this huge, like openings, speak up, if you have these are going to be long. These needs to be very brief because we have so much to cover. However, celebrating is so important for most of us who are big achievers, big dreamers, big doers. We achieve something like one second and we're like what's next? Right?

They always say go to the top of the mountain again, which is a beautiful thing. It's true. You don't want to rest on your laurels and a respite. I'm a firm believer in the respite to really, really allow the feeling and will create To know what just came up for you, so anything around interviews your message or pitch letter? Let me know if you have a celebration. If not, don't worry, you'll have one in the next week.

Debbie, Jen Hi there. Oh my god, you look like a ghost. I know I'm so sorry. I'm in front of a window here I actually camping and I've got family so I escaped from everybody for a little bit to go to Starbucks to do this. So I'm apologize for being a little weird and noisy. So yeah, I just have to thank you so much for helping me formulate that was really really hard.

I was hiding from doing healing and we're really here to do doing it. When I was doing what I know I do say it for me, maybe We need to continue to heal people. Now. This is what I'm doing and share internet of credit as opposed to being concerned about you know, hello. This is what I do. These are the tools in my toolbox to help you with your life.

Thank you for letting me come out of the closet. It was huge. It was transformative, really freeing, just some really crazy awesome, thank you. Beautiful so out. loud. Thank you love.

So Jennifer. It was a little hard to hear. So this is this is the truth and this is why I love doing this because on paper, it looks like I'm teaching people how to be interviewed on radio and podcasts in 60 days or less. What I know is that truth. I'm teaching people how to heal themselves from hiding. at whatever level you've chosen to hide these words out there, like play small, but you all know what that feels like, how painful that is.

That could also be a lot of past life stuff, by the way, for those of us who have been healers, and many, many, many lifetimes, and Jen came panicked, really was panicked about her message. In fact, she was sending me Mrs. Like, try this, try this, try this and, and they just all like poetry, but they didn't make sense. And in some of our back and forth, she was very brave and said, I am not I've never felt safe to come out and say, who I am and what I do. And I've been doing a lot of modulations to avoid that. So now we have a place to start. So she set up a private session with me.

And she had the most enormous breakthrough on every level, I mean, total clarity about her message, her niche is like this, which is awesome. The tighter you can make it, the clearer it is for people to hear, oh, that's me, I need to work with this person. And she also had a really, I think, a lifetime way beyond emotional shift. And like anyone who knows about healing, she had asleep a lot. She was exhausted. And when she came back, she realized nothing's gone.

Everything I just received from spirit and this session is it's really in place. So this is a beautiful thing. And now you can hear if you could hear her, she said, She's fully there. She stepped in. There's no more excuses. No more apologies.

This is who I be. This is what I came for. I'm ready. So that's this is the real work. And this is why at some point, I'll mention to you guys and I'll start now I am doing three day live events where you can come to LA and we work together. And this is the conversation.

Yes, we will always be covering way deeper ways of getting out there of showing our gifts helping people serving and allowing our community, our tribe to fill our workshops or books and etc. and do the work we came here to do. Right what we agreed to do in this life. And as well, super important is to do the deep, deep, deep healing work. Okay. So thank you, Jen, and I'm really thrilled to hear that and happy camping.

That's cool. Anybody else before we get started? Okay. Hello. I didn't know if I was going first sir. Um, I just my one was just about I worked on my letter and I worked hard on it.

And I'm just proud of myself for that, and you know, I sent it to you, I don't know if you've got me You should have gotten it. But and it was just it was kind of cool. It's just something I've been wanting to do for a long time. And I know you know that. And with everything going the way it does in life, it was just always in the back burner. And so I'm just I'm just really happy about that, like, wow, I got this done.

I have something in my hot little hands that could be amended and once I wrote it, I realized I could use a totally different message with it. And I didn't necessarily align it with the message that I had before but it's still really good and solid and then I actually went out and was looking for a podcast and I found one and then found out she's taking a respite so I was like, Oh my god, so when she's perfect, then she's taking a respite. So, um, so I'm excited about you know, trying to figure that that part out and, and, but I don't that just made me feel good. I got a block of something done in The direction that I want to go in while I'm, you know, teaching my other class and getting ready for another class. And in moving forward with my present work, I'm very happy to be contributing to the future work.

Think, you know, think of stuff. So that's all I wanted to say. Thank you. Yeah, you're a banker. You're an investor. I like it.

You made a smart investment, and kind of give you an ROI. Well, I'm thrilled to hear that and i i know that feeling I completely understand that feeling and what a relief to have some a piece, you know, that could open doors that was important, and yet there's also the minutiae of the handle. So good for you for being so diligent. Yes, I got yours. Yeah. And we will try to put that in the mix.

And what I want to say, because I know you know, Karen, someone who's been on some pretty prevalent shows well known radio shows and hosts you would know and so forth. So if you are ready to rock and roll, and I don't want you to feel held back just because the pace of the class, I'm not actually handing out the list of contacts for interviews until two weeks from now, right next week, we're off. Everybody's got I'm speaking at the new media summit. Y'all have that week to use to really push all your materials into beautician sness. Get the message, clean the pitch letter, clean the media, one sheet, you get an extra week just to focus on that. So when we come back, you have a great breath and you're ready to rock and roll.

After that is when I give you the list of contacts for radio podcasts. But Karen I'm happy to send them too early. So if you're wanting to do that, I want you to deal flow of going forward. So I'll email that to you same is true for anybody else if you really feel bad but if not there No rush because we're going to address that together. Good for you. Thank you.

Thank you. Anyone else? I do. Can you hear me? Yes. Hi.

Hey, so so everybody probably saw the the post that I put on Facebook and and I'm so I'm super excited last week the book went number one international bestseller. But what I wanted to say was I'm still struggling to get my message, right, but I know I'm going to so I'm not really worried about it. But the cool thing was when you're talking about when Jennifer was talking about kind of coming into her own kind of thing. You know, a few months ago when all of this stuff was coming ahead of me and I was so excited and you kind of have that feeling like, like you can't believe this is happening, even though it's supposed to be happening. And, and then just the other day I was like, Man, I'm not that Excited anymore than I thought it's not because this stuff isn't so great, but it's because I expect it to happen now.

Like I'm I'm sitting in it like it's supposed to go best seller My show is supposed to do well, I'm supposed to build, you know, coaching programs and do the radio and stuff like it's just become the new norm kind of thing. And that's uh you know I kind of missed that excitement and I'm sure that'll come back you know ebbs and flows but but it's but it's kind of nice to be able to just sit in your your power and your knowledge and know that you're doing what you're supposed to be doing. So all of these things are supposed to be happening, huh, it's not I can't believe it anymore. That's beautiful. Wow, exact Amol. I love what you just said.

I think that is very true for all of us. And I think what's beautiful about what you said is you know, you're sitting in this gorgeous soup you've already created a lot. He know you're going to be bringing in more, you know, this is where you're supposed to be and you will still get those butterflies. So when you start doing interviews and there's that that newness Oh, there's the show, I don't quite know how that show goes, or here's a different host, things are going to start clicking for you, and you will get those butterflies. But you're going to keep coming back to this beautiful soup of creation again and going. Oh, okay, now I know how to do that.

I got the interviews. What's next? So yeah, that's beautiful. Thank you, thank you so much to for having the patience with yourself in your message. I want to say one of the things that's going on for you is in your messaging, and it happens for everybody is we just get so in our heads and we're trying to is like trying too hard. Yeah.

And it's like the words just aren't landing. And there's, it's actually the truth is already inside of you the truth. Exactly what you do is inside of you, and we'll get to that either we'll do an add on private sessions. You can have a lot more ease there. Or wait to You have your session, but it will happen and I'm grateful that you trusted. Okay.

Yeah. Thank you. Yeah. So I'm going to get started. We're going to start today and here and this is such a perfect segue. So thank you all for knowing your roles, your roles and your lives.

Shakespeare really hadn't right? Here's why you're here. All of us are here in this program, because we're overwhelmed. And guess what? as an expert in your fields, in your field, every time you attract a client, it is because your client is overwhelmed. They don't know what they don't know.

So to you, in your field, the information this is easy. Oh, how do you not know this? Of course, this is how it goes. And that's because you're intimate with it. You're an authority, but to them your client. This is beyond because they have no idea.

How to approach this they have no idea how to execute or heal or dot, dot dot. And this is why they hire you and work with you. So knowing that because you function as an expert in your field in this way and attract people who need what you know, so easily, you too big breath are here because you're overwhelmed with the interview process. And you came to this program to get the system to get the ease so that you learn like a pro how to get booked on radio and podcast. So I asked you to please be gentle with yourself. The one thing you can do, right, that makes this light is do the homework.

Be on track with your homework. The other thing you can do is show up live every week. If it's possible, don't jump to another week. Just be in the process right now. You trusted me and I thank you so much for that you trusted me to be your guide. So ask you to sit back, take a breath, trust, allow me to lead you, we are going to get there and allow the light to slowly the embers to burn, right until it becomes the bright light that it will be.

You teach a system to your people. And when you do and they get it, the overwhelm goes away. Right? And it's the same here and the ultimate visibility formula. So you're right, exactly where you're supposed to be is what I was saying. Today is the best day and today is the worst day.

It is the worst day for your future self and the best day for your past self. Every time you're interviewed. It's going to be your best and your worst. You will get better and better with each interview. So every time you're interviewed on a radio or podcast show, it's going to be your best day worst day, your worst interview ever, for your future self, but your best interview ever, for everything you've done thus far in the past as far as interviews go, so just allow that process to be to. There is only one way to get better.

As you know, you'll have the tech in the strategy. Easy peasy. By the time it's this is done. You'll know what tools to have. You'll have the contacts, you'll have everything in disposal you have been coached. But the real way to get better and to do this is to do this.

The only way is to be interviewed to book interviews to get out there to have the experience to keep having the experience and to keep growing and being very fluid and forgiving with yourself. You're doing the best you can. Most people out there will have no idea because again, they're overwhelmed around your subject. You're the expert, you're the authority. So you're showing up to a show able to teach people lead people tell stories, statistics, maybe lead them through some healings. Whatever it is that you bring to a show.

It's going to be a first for your listeners, and they will really love it. Appreciate you. I have an another later class going to show you some of the ins and outs so that you are making a really engaging guest, someone who really delivers content that keeps everybody's attention. As we all know, attention spans are about that big this day. It isn't a moment's notice. Somebody can change the channel and say, Well, you know, seven other podcasts out there.

I love this is not working for me. Listen, even with the very most famous podcast shows, I have that too. When I tune into them. Sometimes it's like man, like this is not the best show. I'll listen to one of their others some other time. But you want to be the one that captivates people so much.

They're like, I would not Not only would I not change to this channel, but I'm going to download it, maybe I'm going to subscribe, I'm going to like it, I may post a comment, maybe I'm going to find out who this person is. And by their book, follow their website, that's going to be you. So the only way to get better is to do it. And you will do that later last week, your homework was to complete writing and practicing your message plus, writing your pitch letters. So I'm going to pull some of them up and we're going to go through them. And I'm going to do them in the order that they were received.

So let me see if I can tell who's who. Right, great. So Miss Tony baloney. Okay, so we're going to look at Tony's first. Is it okay that I call you that Okay, and yours is called you pitch light. There we go.

Great. So we're going to share the screen and take a look at Tony's beautiful. And you all can see this. Thumbs up. Yes, thank you. Okay, love.

So here's Tony's and so this is I'm going to just say overall just to think, Oh no, this is Karen's. Okay. Apologies. Let's try this. Here we go. Okay.

So this is Tony's and so this is perfect. And by the way, Tony, I know Terri Levine very well. She's been a mastermind with me for like, eight or nine years. So I know I know the level of shows she does and business she does out in the world. So I'm going to say, this is perfect. Right now.

Exactly as Karen Do you know See, Tony? Oh, how funny. Hold on. Let me go back. This is a very specific little machine here. We hit stop share.

Let me go back to share. So it's been really specific. Let's see if I can find a word email pitch. Thank you for telling me by the way. Okay, now we're there. All right, perfect.

So Tommy's is perfect. There's only one thing so now we're getting advanced, because this will open doors. I will tell you right now, we'll read through it in a minute, but I'm gonna also tell you right up front pre caveat. Here's what's missing. This has zero pizzazz. So if I'm getting 100 of these a day, why would I pick this out of the others?

Right now the way this reads is, though. news news, read all about it. Read all about it. Great. You know, here's my buck 25 Let me get the newspaper and I opened up and there's no news. So there's no Nothing in here that says why I must use you.

Why you and we want this to have something that's going to be captivating right from the beginning. So let's read through this. And we'll find the places where this needs a little bit of a headline, if you will. And the reason why in marketing copy headlines are so important is because that's the thing that people click on to open or throw out. That is, whether you're doing a tweet or anything in social media blast, you want to have something that's captivating. I do it all the time.

And Tony, you'll need to do it too. For my radio show. I can't just I have huge names come on my show. But guess what people again are so busy, most of them. Yeah, maybe the name will be captivating, but I still need a headline. Why are you going to tune in to listen to this person?

I've got to come up with something that happened in that show for real when People tune in to listen live or to the replay that they're going to want to listen to because this person addresses this topic. I'm interviewing Ken Honda. He is the Marie Kondo of money in Japan. He's so famous if anybody knows Marie Kondo. She's the woman who wrote tidying whatever the name of that book is about tidying the soul the bazillion trillion copies. She's become a worldwide phenom.

She now has her own TV show about uncluttering and tidying, and he's it same thing from Japan for money. And so I might write a headline for him saying, is your money happy or unhappy? Learn how now, right? I'm just coming up with that off the top of my head. I might hashtag happy money, something like that. So you have to come up with things that are captivating, compelling, intriguing.

Make someone want to read it. How this reads right now is Hi, I'm Tony Vaughn, author of the number one international best selling book, drop it like it's hot. I listened to your episode x and found what you say. About x very interesting. Okay, right there. You're and of course you don't have your specific there.

But let's say you say, Deb, I listened to dare to dream and I listened to Ken Honda show about money. And you're not going to want to say it's interesting because what I'm going to think is you really don't listen to the show. But you might want to say when he talked about the five components of money EQ, I was really compelled when he mentioned that compulsive spenders generally have come from growing up in a household of compulsive savers. true fact, by the way, so already I know, right? She knows who I am. She's taken time she's listened.

Okay, we're going to move on to the next paragraph. I'm writing to you because I like to pitch myself as a guest on your show. Dare to dream. After researching you online and listening to a few episodes. I'm confident I have something relevant to offer to your listeners. It's beautiful.

And the only thing and by the way You don't have to change this. Like I said, this is so good enough. But just like a little minor tweaks, I'd like to pitch myself as a guest on your show. You know, there are ways you can rephrase that. It could be like, I'd like to offer my expertise. As a guest on your show.

There are different ways you can say that I want to find anything in here that isn't 1,000%, humble and confident all at once, right? Nothing that ever makes an excuse or bigs for somebody time but confident. Yes, here's some topics that would create value for your audience. If you'd like I'd be happy to collaborate with you to customize these topics for your listeners. Perfect. Topic number one where emotional blocks come from how these blocks are affecting your life right now how to give your past and present and perspective, great topic to why you're creating your life by default.

That's interesting how to start Creating with intention. Cool. And you know what's great Tony is as you're being interviewed, and you start doing this more and more, you're gonna start realizing, oh, I speak very well to these subjects, oh host listeners are calling in about this subject. You can start to change this as you go forward and you start to learn more about where your potency is. Right now this is perfect and good enough. I've previously been a guest on radio, publish radio with Sam Mac and also on heart hearts openers with Terry Levine.

I would change that I want to make you sound better. So I would say I've been a guest on numerous Radio Podcast shows in the past. To name a few public radio with Sam Mack and entrepreneurs with Terry Levine. Let's make it sound that you've been on even more than you have to what are you These topics sound like a compelling conversation for your audience. I desire to share great content with you and your listeners. Yeah, I want I just want something more potent there at the end.

It's a little bit, too nicey nicey. So you know, I have these topics and other relevant ones that can create a compelling conversation for you and your audience. I desire to share great content. Please let me know how I can serve you and your listeners awaiting your reply, you know, something like that, or, you know, I'm happy to give you to send you a book in advance. Should you like to book me on your show that enough? You know, something like that?

Give them a call to action at the very end. So instead of just passing on what you've written, this is a Yeah, okay, great. Send me a book. Let's Talk about December 3, whatever. But this is fantastic. Right?

So those are just some minor tweaks. Great. So I'm going to stop the share on that. And then I'm going to come back and we're going to go to Karen's Karen's. That's okay. Here's carrots.

All right. Hi. Okay, so that's repeated. We won't have that. Let me be your next guest. We're going to find something way more clever, you know, Surf's Up.

Exactly. I was just like, I better get the letter and let's let's deal with the title afterwards. Did you know that lack of confidence and self esteem can cause like, Hello, this is beautiful. Perfect. Did you know that lack of confidence and self esteem can cost up to 1.2 million dollars in lifetime earnings. I didn't know that.

With more and more women going into their own businesses. This means that they are less likely to take the risks necessary to make their business successful. I love it. Just take out the word and you don't need end. This is actually another thought building on the first thought. I'm Karen Abrams and for the past 17 years, and I would just change this and for over 17 years, I have helped professional women gain confidence, financial security and personal fulfillment by unhooking them from self sabotaging habits that have held them back from the success they deserve.

See that with best using a powerful technique called theta healing, I am able to access the subconscious mind to change damaging thought patterns release trapped emotions and gain deeper understanding. They can move forward in life more quickly and easily. I listened to your episode x and found what you said about x. And of course you already heard from the past when you'll put something specific there. Consider that was something you wrote that was a note that you had in there. Oh, I see this is not your life.

Okay, I'm writing to you to pitch myself as a guest on your show. After researching you online, listen to a few episodes, I'm confident I have something to offer to your listeners that will help them conquer the inner demons that are stalling their mind financial progress. Here are two topics that would create value for your audience. I'd be happy to collaborate fantastic transforming your inner beliefs your best friend. The takeaways would include finding out the one thing that will turn their inner bully into their greatest ally. Meeting the top three inner believes within them to discover the silver bullet.

Okay, so Here's what we're going to learn the information here is fantastic. She's totally going to get booked. So as long as she finds the right shows, you know, if she reaches out to No, that's not even a word. I was gonna say republicans show but the truth is republicans love money. So you actually couldn't get out my voting choices, that's all. Exactly.

Yeah. So we're going to put you on political shows to clean that mess up. Yeah. This is all brilliant. This is fantastic. It's also five pages.

This must be one page or less. So this is going to be like taking out the major red pen and crossing out so much. Okay, if it feels uncomfortable, get to the essence. So like, in other words, where it says finding out the one thing that will turn their inner bully, just change it, turn the your inner bully into your greatest ally, very small The three the top three inner bully personalities. That's all you need. For the second one, yes.

Okay intervallic personalities, I would just leave it and I cross out the third one all together, you don't need this much, trust me is just enough that you making someone salivate, make your move. This discussion helps your and then again, I would just make this bullet points you're very this may be great by the way for speaking I'd save this one for speaking because you can repurpose this and it's okay that it's five pages. You can develop classes out of this. There's so much you can do with the good work you did here. But just for radio podcasts, we have so little time and we get so many of these you must make it really short and to the point. So this one You can just up condense this how to get unstuck and remove resistance in order to achieve goals next would be proven process that shifts the negatives into permanent positives.

And if you wanted the last one, three powerful modalities Yeah, this gets to flowering follow through muscles and all this stuff. You don't need all that nobody will understand what that means. But three powerful modalities that listeners can use to change their life going forward. That's too long. Even Find a way to do that. Absolutely, of course, you must keep this something we discussed before in the first class, in almost all my interviews, the host brings on live callers.

So again, condense this, you're welcome to bring on live callers to experience my work for immediate shifts. I've done this in all my previous interviews. So this is open to you as well. Again, you want to make it super, to brief into the point love knowing that thank you gift. As a thank you, I'm giving away an mp3. Here's the title, and the URL, of course.

I mean, so this is just just just great, great stuff. But it's just too long. That's all the good news is your fifth page isn't really your fifth page. You have some kind of letter R here. So let's delete That's so great. We just made it four pages.

Yeah, try to get this to one, maybe one and a quarter and just redline it, go back and read it, redline it, go back and read it, redline it, you know, all of this can be way condensed to get to your message. It is wonderful. And you may find you may find that you can say some of this so much easier. You know, after you go from I listen to your episode, go right here to I'm offering myself as an expert guest on your show. And I'm confident I have something to offer. For anyone whose financial progress has stalled, boom, you know, we just shortened that in half.

Just get to the essence of what you're saying. We will love you for it. And this is extremely compelling and make all of these bullet points. Just tiny little, three, four, maybe five word headlines at most. And yeah, this is a super great start, like really good. This will definitely open doors.

Okay, so these are very, very, very good. Me, let me stop share. These are great examples that we just saw. Did anybody find? Did that? Does anybody have any questions about this process for the pitch letter email?

I did. Yes. Hi, Laurie. Hi. So one of the things that I find I'm struggling with a little bit because for me, connection is everything I talk about and everything that I do the research, you know, I find myself hesitating and because I don't know the right way to research so that I could connect properly. And, you know, for example, I'm writing a pitch email right now, for a Local lady who I've met before, and that seems like, you know, easier because I know what she's doing.

I know what she's talking about. I know that her show aligns with what I want to talk about. And I still have concerned about that. But then to go out and do the proper research so that I can say, Oh, I will connect with your audience, because this is in alignment. Start with the person you already feel comfortable with and that you have concerns. What are those concerns?

That I won't you know, I think it's around that perfection piece and being able to say it perfectly have I you know, I love what you're talking about, and I know that what you're talking about and what I'm talking about will enhance our community. So I I have trouble believing that because you have one of the biggest hearts on the band. And so for you to connect from your heart and give someone grace and say, gosh, I love what you're doing. I really love what you're doing. Like that's indigenous to you. So go a little deeper.

What else is going on there? What is the real concern? I don't really, I don't really know. It's easy to do that when I'm in person. And I can see you and I can say yeah, I feel everything that you're doing and I I know that the way you're telling story in our community and building our community is exactly in alignment. Let's see what's the uniqueness is doing?

Awesome. Okay. I can work with that. Yes, I completely understand when I left physical radio station where I got to have people come in my station, they developed some of the most exclusive relationships people I'm still in touch with, and connections. And when I had a shift to being on radio and podcasts from my home or office and not seeing people speaking on the phone, it was, it was a, it was a real journey for me to find a way. And then I realized, Oh, I'm clairsentience I can connect with energy.

Of course, I see. I don't see that I get that energy. So it was a process for me and then I honestly had to develop that piece. So I just want to address that that you as well have that at your disposal. You're very attuned. That said, I think you will love this next piece.

I'm going To ask you to be way more superfluous than that, I'm going to ask you to not make this so deep and meaningful, because this is just about you acquiring the job. And when you book the job, you're also going to give it's going to be reciprocal. You're not going to show up empty handed and go, give, give, give, you're going to go, here's a lot of great stuff too. I'm going to serve you you're going to serve me and hopefully we'll get to do it again in the future. Just be very superfluous about it. Don't make it so deep or meaningful.

Just listen to whatever you can have the show, try to do at least one show and by the way, the other heightened This is great for everybody to be listening to. Here's what's amazing about it, and why it's so important. Yes, you're doing your homework because when you get booked on the show, you're going to know what's going on. It's not also just about writing that front of letter. When they say yeah, please Here are the dates. When would you like to buy You can know that when you show up for the show, I know this show.

I'm not going in blind, and your nerves will be very calm because you've got the rhythm. You know what the hostess like the vibe of the show listeners know, listeners, too. They do music too. They have ads, they have an intro outro you'll know it. There's that piece. The other piece of it is this is constant homework.

The more you listen to other shows, you get to hear the guests and you want to listen to other guests because you always should be thinking, what works about this Why am I loving this guest? What are they bringing? How are they delivering? What is it about their personality? Or how are they connecting with the hosts in the audience? These are things you can emulate.

We are all energy energy is everything. We can be anything we choose. You may hear things that you're thinking that really isn't working for. This is just not a great guest perfect. flesh out what is not working here. Why is this awful?

Why are they not a great guest? Why are they boring? Why are they you know, why are they not delivering content, and then you know exactly where you don't want to play. So all of this continues to be enormous homework, I would say keep it very, very, very simple. Understand that this is actually nothing to do with perfectionism, but it's actually your way of just not stepping out. And this is your visibility thing, right?

That are from here, about that, and that's okay. And it's okay. Like you're in a really safe place to be feeling that and I'm going to ask you to feel it and move forward anyway. Because sometimes healing can look like what Jennifer did was she went like, right up against it, and cried and whatever. And sometimes healing can look like, yeah, I'm scared but I'm courageous encouraged me to do something in spite of Fear, and I'm going to start doing this. And then if stuff comes up, I can deal with it.

You know enough healers, you've got people in this class, but do it. Okay. Got it. Thank you. Perfect. Thank you.

Thanks for being brave. Anyone else have questions? Okay, so I'm going to shift over right now to our PowerPoint. And here we are at the how to pitch yourself and get a yes, we've done our celebrations, and a press kit is various components. So a press kit is something that we're going to put together build together through templates in this class. And it's something that the back end you'll put on your website.

The reason why you have a menu tab website while you put a press kit there is because it makes your life really easy. If at a moment's notice somebody wants to book you. Let's say you're in Hawaii, and you're like, yeah, I could do the show. But you know, you're at the beach, please go to my website, click on press kit, my photo will be there, my talking points will be there, my bio will be there. Everything you need will be there. And whoever the station is, will be like, awesome.

Thank you. You're so professional. That's what we love. It's happened to me. By the way, when I launched my second book, I really want it to be what on in Los Angeles is called 103 point five FM. It was at that time mark and Kristen in the morning, it was the most I believe it still is coast FM, the most popular radio station morning drive time.

I wanted to be on that darn radio show so badly. And I was doing a ton of interviews because I don't have to do this. And you know nothing. So that's right. Have a little you know, potato. I'm big in my own mind, but I'm a little potato in a big potato fields right in Los Angeles and Hollywood.

So we just went on with my life. And one morning at 9am The phone rang, I picked it up. person said, Hi, I'm a producer a post FM, Mark and Kristen would like to teach you on the show this morning. Can you be ready in 30 minutes? I'm like, Oh my god, it's happening. So I said yes, I can great.

We need your materials now. Perfect. Go here. I was a proud. They had everything they needed. In five minutes, the producer could assimilate and get everything in the back end send everything to the people who are going to be talking to me.

And I was really nervous as nervous as you can imagine. But darn it, I'd created it and I was going to show up 120% I have enough healing tools. I was doing all sorts of energy work so I could be really really present have a great time. And you know, you never know the surprises. You can To get on a back end any time. So in this case, I did the show, it was fabulous dream come true.

And when I was done I was told by Kristin herself. By the way, we're going to keep this for at least a year on our dashboard in the back of the website because everything's also live stream. So anywhere around the anyone around the world can listen to this. And of course that included links to my book and other things I was doing in my website. I mean, come on, right? What a gift on every level.

So this when you're ready that professionally with your press kit at a moment's notice, you're a hell yeah. Okay. The other thing we're going to do is a little bit of role playing and I'm going to show you how to do that so you can become an even better interview guest before you're interviewed or in between interviews, and we'll go through the templates. The pieces that you need to know about in a press kit are your headshot. Your bio your talking points. Talking Points are essentially the bullet points you're already putting together in your pitch letter.

It means these are the things I can address and that the host can ask me about. Yeah, that's it. I had to check in my file cabinet, my brain. Okay. Oops, that was fast. So this is how to have a killer press kit and these are the components first.

Can you all see Okay, give me a thumbs up if you're seeing this easily. Thank you. Okay. So killer press kit. First is a biography. Your bio and headshot.

Well, we've been going on already over last week in this week, your message, and then this is yet another piece. It's the same thing you've been learning and I'm just reiterating here in different words. different words are always great. Your name is a title who works with who you help to, how you help them. Your name knows or believes what you know or believe about the work you do. Your name has landed, secured, garnered, worked out supported, and insert your most compelling experiences and wins.

You may have big names, you've worked with big corporations, big projects, cutting edge things, inventions, awards, we want to have our attention captured here. First name now comes the backup, right? You've already said Tada. I'm fabulous. The next paragraph is Oh, and by the way, and this is basically I'm certified in. I'm trained in I've been awarded XYZ or I have these relevant trainings awards honors accepted And again, not wordy, and if you go wordy then go back with a red pen and x x x make it as homeopathic right distilled as possible.

And the last one is first name holes and insert your degree in study from. But this could also be different for many of you, you don't have you do have degrees, but you don't necessarily have degrees and what you're doing right now, by the way, that's pretty prevalent. So don't worry about it. You can reword this to include something else completely fabulous about you. Maybe you want to say I've been on CNN, and I've been featured on this show in that show and this magazine and that magazine, find ways to have your fabulousness there or you know the specific modalities and how it manifests out in the world create change, perfect. The next piece the art of the pitch letter or as We say pitch email, we already know we want to keep it short and sweet.

Only have the most important information post never want to read a six paragraph pitch, because we'll will die. We have hundreds of pitches which are sitting in our inbox. So if we are any of us lucky enough to have a host, or station or producer open up our pitch, they will never spend the time reading a novel. So don't provide that much detail. And part of this is feeling worthy to stand on your own two feet as a guest. It really is.

You have to know I'm darn good enough just as I am. I don't have to throw everything in the kitchen sink to get their attention. I can just give one or two lines and let them know Yes, I am that fabulous. It's true. So if they're interested based on something short and to the point, and they feel it's a good fit, they will absolutely respond and ask for more information. I mentioned this last week.

I'll read it rate, if you don't hear and you felt really strongly, wait two weeks right again, because hey, I sent you this. I know you're busy. Maybe throw a joke in there. Love to hear back again. I submitted myself for x make it so short. If you don't hear that is your answer.

But at least 50% of the time you will hear from a second email. Always have a clever subject line to catch their eye. Let me give you a little secret sauce here. You can Google something called a headline, title generator. There are websites for free with headline title generators, they're going to ask you your subject. So let's say like Karen, women and finances is what she might put in there.

This generates at least 500 titles that can be used for marketing copy, and you can use that. So the email may read. Let's say you're writing to me about my show, Debbie Colin, did you know the five ways that women can turn their finances I'm trying to think of a good headline off the top of my head, turn their finances around and be wealthy. It that's not fabulous, but I just made it up. But guess what, I would open that one even. You need a great subject line.

If you can't come up with them and it's not your wheelhouse. Use headline title generator there for free. And you're gonna love it so much. You'll probably use it for a ton of other things. It is your job to grab their attention. That's where it starts.

Get them to open the email, then have something short, succinct, fabulous. Always at the end. You can't just go Thanks, bye, right. There's no offer. There's nothing you're leaving the host with. You have Give them something to make them take action.

Right? So maybe it's an exclusive interview. Maybe you're just releasing a book nobody else knows about. Maybe you've got a product rolling out. Maybe you've got a free opt in or a book you can give them or or the reason why we make what we do very personalized, I listened to your show, I loved x episode, here's why. This is 26% more likely to be open, I can tell you my world, it's 100% more likely.

So take that 26 to 100%. That's what makes the difference. I got to know you've already done the homework. You already know you're fit. And now I could just focus on who you are and what's possible. Definitely make your pitch letter kick ass.

Create an angle that we want to say yes to have an attention getting subject line. Make your email short. Chris, and always have three to five speaking points. That's all you need. Tada. Your press kit.

Now we're moving into the next section we're going to cover today is called media, one sheet, a press one sheet, a one sheet up. Yeah. So we all have very different words for it, but it's all the same thing. It's one sheet. Isn't that beautiful? And on this one sheet, or a flyer, it has your short bio.

It has your picture. It has all your social media embedded links, your talking points. And if there's things that are fabulous about you, we want to know and if you have testimonies, we want to know now that sounds like a lot but this is what One Sheet. So the same thing applies as what was said before short, crisp. Maybe it's one or two tiny testimonies, maybe your bio is five sentences. Maybe the compelling amazing things about you, you have to shorten into something that's just a paragraph.

And then your beautiful picture, your head, your attention grabbing headline. This is something you're going to turn into a PDF. When you send out your emails to a show that you would like to be interviewed on, you will have an email with the body and that's what you've written, which is your pitch letter. attached to that you will have your media one sheet, because if we book you in two seconds, there's nothing more you need to do except accept the date. You've done everything. I've got everything on you if I want it Anything further?

Awesome. Let's show up to do that, because all it does is create relationship, which is something we all want outside of the show. And if I don't ask you for more, I actually have everything I already need. You've done everything. And here's what's beautiful when you write this. You don't have to rewrite it over and over.

Yes, you have to change the name of the email. You don't want to keep using someone's name and send it to different people. You have to change the name of the show, and perhaps what it is that was captivating. Yes, you want to personalize it. Outside of that, it's pretty much the same. The only time you'll change these elements is as you grow professionally, you'll have new things that you need to add new awards, new people, you've worked with new projects, new workshops, whatever you're offering, and maybe more clarity about your message and that's fine.

You'll Tinker when you can. But in the beginning you will use this and replicated over and over and it will benefit you for a lot of yeses. This is what it looks like. And this is the template you already have in the back end with your replays. So first name, last name on the top headshot and you have a copy of this PDF and this PDF and also send it to you is what you fill in. There's your headshot.

Here's your paragraphs about what you are who you are your bio your fabulousness your most popular media topics topic name and a wee bit about it. value for the audience topic name and so this is only three. But look how easy it is to see this. Like this is for anybody who is energetically sensitive. God knows I am. I cannot live in a space that's cluttered cannot if you saw my place It is so clean.

If it gets a little out of hand. I have to spend time during the weekend. Have to would be someone's fish way best client. And it's the same thing with this. If I open it up and it's like information everywhere, I can't, I just can't process it. But if it's laid out like this Your beautiful headshot, your name, your title about you your topics.

I can digest this. It's very it's not like overeating, right? It's not like compulsive overeating. It's like eating exactly the right amount pushing away from the plate and it's all digestible and assimilable. Then we've got praise here in the bottom. This is where you have your testimonies.

This is your contact information, your email, your phone, your website, and all these icons for your social media handles, and they're all hyper linked. So when I click on them, I click to your Twitter, your Facebook, your Instagram, your LinkedIn, your etc. This is he nuff and perfect. Is there some lap Oh Between your pitch letter and your immediate one sheet, yes, indeed, there is some. Obviously your bio is your bio. Obviously, by the way, you don't have to have a bio in your pitch letter that will help you keep it more succinct because it's already here.

If you find you out are so fabulous, you don't have to put all your fabulousness into the letter, keep half of it for the media one sheet. So this is very attractive to us and this is what we want to see. This is what you're going to be working on. So over the next week that you have off until we meet in two weeks, you're going to complete your message, complete your pitch letter, and you're going to put the finishing touches on this your media one sheet. When you do this, you will have your entire press media kit. This is what you'll use exactly.

In order to send out to stations, your message you don't send out but The moment you're being interviewed, and somebody says, Hi, Sam, it's great to have you on the show. Why don't you tell the listeners a little about yourself? Wait, Sam Harris, I run this show. I've written those books. I'm as an expert out in the world is a visibility and media authority. And what I do is I help people access the inner book in them and write a page turner so they can express themselves finally out into the world and finish that book project.

I'm making it up on the fly. I'm not Sam Harris. I didn't have anything in front of me, but that's what a message sounds like. And then it's back to the host silence and it's back to the host. Where these other pieces come in is obviously you have a compelling headline. You have a great email, they love you, they want to book you.

Now they've got the media one sheet for when you show up on the show, or if they want to look into you a little further they can. These are the pieces you're gonna have complete by the time we meet next time. So here's the system. You verbalize your message by heart, you say it over and over until you can it rattles off at a party at a networking meeting. When you're on stage, when you're on a panel and you're being interviewed. Whatever it is, you got this down cold, you will have a completed pitch letter and immediate one sheet.

In a class coming up, not today, but coming up, we will learn the technique to be interviewed. And now we're going to do some roleplay. So I would like you to be comfortable with being interviewed, no matter how much or how little you've been interviewed before. And here is another piece of homework. This is a place where you can either use people at home and in your life or you can use each other and if you want to use each other You can post in the chat, you can go to your Facebook group, and just ask each other's private by the way. So if you post your email, only we will see it.

And if you want someone to buddy up with you and work with you, it's perfect. So here's the homework. The homework is to do a mock interview. And you're going to work with somebody, family friend, colleague, or someone from the class, and you're going to record it. And you're going to just set a time, 15 minutes max and just say, hey, I'd like you to pretend you're the host. I'm going to pretend that I'm an interview guest.

This is my subject, right? You're not going to suddenly ask me about painting walls when it's clear that what I talk about is creating dreams and success. And using visibility books, bestsellers and interviews to get your message out into the world and be the light you came here to be. So you're going to talk to me about that, right? So I can either give you a list of quotes Questions or we could just fly, right? But this is for real because you want to really support your partner.

If you want to do it on your phone or if you have equipment doesn't matter, or if you're going to do through zoom Skype, whatever recorded the recordings everything. And somebody plays the host and it's a good listener and questioner and you're a good answer. And you go back and forth back and forth. When it's all done. You have the recording your homework is to go back and listen to your recording. And just like I said, when you listen to shows that are not your shows, right?

That are shows you may be interested in doing the homework of what do I love about this? What don't I love about this? what works, what doesn't work? What would I want to emulate? What would I want to leave out? Same thing, you never listen with the ear of judging yourself?

That doesn't work, right because you're fabulous just as you are. But do listen with the ear of this is what's all that was good. This is working. I want to keep that going. Oh, I see that was off. Maybe I had some options.

An ns I need to work on, maybe I can work on not speaking so much. Maybe I can work on breathing, trusting, creating silence, knowing that the host has this and will come in. Maybe I can work on connecting synergistically with somebody else. Whatever it is, all these skills will keep being amplified and get better and better and better. So, these are some core interview questions that you can ask if you would like to, and I will send these. I'm going to send this sheet to you.

And this sheet you see, we'll get that in the email after today's class. So let's do a little roleplay. And before I jump into that, does anybody have any questions? Is everyone breathing and your So okay, just let me know you're still okay. Renee. Yeah, you're good.

All right, cool. So, Renee, I'm going to start with you. So I'm going to unmute you. Or maybe you unmute you. You need are you. Okay?

So great. So we're going to just do a mock interview. It'll be very, very brief. And let's just go back over it. So, I'm going to say my name my show and then introduce Rene, and then we'll go from there. Welcome to dare to dream.

This is Debbie dashing girl. the great honor of having Rene masaccio on the show, Rene, welcome to dare to dream. Thank you Debbie for having me. Such a pleasure. And finally you're here. So tell us a little bit about the great work that you do out in the world Rene.

I work with a lot of this is my message I'm trying to get to down God like okay, so um yeah. I didn't know guys sorry about that. This is this is the part I always struggle with. And I just got the elevator speech down yesterday with Deb which was huge for me. Because I am excellent. At what I do, but this piece, this is what I stink at.

Like I am always very horrible. Alright, so I have an idea for you. This is for you. And this is what I believe is going to work for you. So it's so it's so it people are so Interesting. I just have to say this, because one of the things I admire about Rene is the velocity.

Just follow me track me for a second. It's gonna sound funny. The velocity with which she can speak. So because I hear everything through music, I hear rhythms, right. I hear tempos. Renee speaks, especially when she's healing and whatever is coming through her.

She speaks quickly. Not so quickly. You don't understand. Don't misunderstand me. But I mean, the perfection of how fast the information comes out of her flows. There's zero Oz, I'm just wrong.

And it's amazing. And I guess I'm very sensitive to it because I'm so deeply reflective that I'm always in and out when I speak. And so I really hear this amazing sort of powerful, confident rhythm with which she communicates. So Isn't it funny that the hitch would be about what she says because of like, so not her issue? Hilarious. Okay.

We're also beautiful and complex. But this is what I want you to do, my dear. And this is the problem. It is actually too wordy for you in the beginning. I want you to go different than I would recommend most people do because I know where you'll end up. And I know that once the flow starts, it's on.

Right? I want you to start really simple. We already know from your past interviews, one of the problems was saying too much, right? So we don't want to get you in that pattern. Let's start you simple. So if I say hey, Rene, great to have you.

Will you tell us a little bit? Yes, I do. Very specific healing work that includes energy and channeling. Yeah, like I have a choice as a host. Great. Do you mind to share a little more like what kind of channeling or do you work alone or dislike Because if you create a lot of curiosity, yes, I have masters come through me.

And, you know, I know your thing. But I also want the words to be yours. And again, we are not trying to play coy with a host, I actually specifically want you to harness your energy instead of going splat. But keep your energy here. And my sense is that after like two of these that are like this, but still very inviting, that it is going to start to like a flower unfold for you until you are in your flow. So let's keep it really simple.

You will come up with way better words than what I used. And they can be as powerful as you like, but I would keep it very succinct. So let's try again. So Wait, hang on, let me ask you one thing because obviously it was so difficult for me to remember. I do very specific work that involves channeling and I always want to say meditation and that's it. There's such a stigma around meditation.

So what was it that you said, like, you know, because people think meditation is this long drawn out process. And Tony, I was watching some of her interviews yesterday, and she's got that same thought that I do. Things are so much easier. Make them to be. And I try and get away from the meditation. But you've said something.

All right. Well, you just said it. Y'all got to realize the brilliance is already in you. And you just said it. So I want to go with what your truth is. And your truth, my dear is, what do I do?

I help people get there like that. That's how fast the healing is those long drawn out processes sessions. Not with me. Okay, I don't need more. I'm gonna I'm gonna have a lot of questions for you right there. We'll have a lot to talk about.

I'm not giving you words right now that you actually need to read. doubt you, I want you to go with truth, right? What is your truth and your truth and you don't need to go Well, I'm not meditation and I'm not this and I'm not that, although you could allude to. There are modalities out there that take a really long time, but frankly, I don't feel like we have long time. And I feel like most people are impatient to get healed. That's where I come in the work I have access to gets people there like that.

Very true. I mean, what a great place to start, right? Mm hmm. Like, I want your website. Okay. All right.

So let's do this. We don't have a lot of time. Okay. So this is in a very quick that's okay. So Debbie, dashing or dare to dream Welcome, everybody. Great to have you for yet another amazing installment I have with Rene mustachio here today, Rene.

Welcome to dare to dream. Thank you so much for coming. for having me and I'm so excited to share what I know with your readers and your listeners, me as well. They've been waiting for you and just tell people briefly what do you do out in the world so you understand where this conversation is beginning. I help people get out of their own way and release their blocks and everything that they've been struggling with for years and seen counselors and everything else with get to change it like that. Oh my gosh, okay.

Well, that is the conversation. I don't I believe in energy work like that. Once I discovered energy work, I was like, Oh my God, why would you Why would anyone do anything else? So in allowing people to get there like that, what are the ways like do people come to you privately they come to you in groups, what are the ways that you work with people, or people privately and in groups and I also have, I've just launched a few courses to help people awaken the healer within or giving their life a voice if they've been shut down for years. There's a lot of different ways We can do it. Awesome.

Well, that's nice. So you're very accessible and work remote. So I'm going to put you on the spot. And don't hate me for this. But what just so we could give everybody a little flavor flavor of what you can do. Is there something you can tell me right now about me that I need to know that only I know.

But you can perceive. I actually will channel through your how yourself a lot of bodies when I'm looking at somebody. So these bodies in front of you behind you side to side, top to bottom, they're all versions of you. And I speak to that or they speak to me. So I tell you that typically it's not the things where if somebody is looking for something specific, okay, I know something you tell me like your higher self and a few of your bodies that are there are saying you struggle a little bit with truly being awesome. honest and truthful with yourself as far as getting to know what you really want in life, and that might sound strange, but it really is more of finding a better balance within not only each component of your circle of life, but there's a couple little straggling pieces you have that are coming in from childhood that are having you not be as confident as you are in what you can achieve in your life.

All of the things are supposed to be coming like you've got this little wall on the side of you. And it's blocking a little bit of things that that little bit of things Debbie is phenomenal for you. Just like with you know, the awards you're up for you have many, many more that you haven't even tapped into that this little block is stopping you from doing and we can get rid of that like this and we can do it through meditation, we can do it. There's a ton of things we can do because there's so easy to do. So many different modalities, and we can clear it like that. Okay, scene.

I hope most of you all present for that. Because so that was an unflattering and man when and on flowered, it was like, man, right? It was a beautiful rose. I can tell you that if she can do that, if any of you can do that for a host, and that's a little uncomfortable, by the way, not every host is going to be open to being that transparent in front of their audience. I'm mostly okay. Mostly, okay, there is that part of me too, that likes to be a little bit like, you know, can we just talk about how fabulous I am.

But also, truth is truth. Right? We know truth when we hear it. So that was a brilliant example. Because what happened and you can make that one of your questions if the host is open to it and they need to be open. Write that you can address something.

Now. I mean, I can tell you right now my next question because I want the listeners to really or viewers to get a real visceral experience of you and they just did. The door is wide open. I might next say, what can we do about that little while you're taken aback because I don't want to wall I want all this other stuff you're talking about. And if you say great, are you open to we do us doing something right now? And it's you know, it's brief, right?

We can do an hour session, but you know, you can do something for a couple of minutes that can literally facilitate the shift in a change. All right. I'm telling you, if I can take calls, the phone will start ringing and I've got a following the phone will start ringing and people will want to have an experience with you. There is so little that you actually need to say after that about who you are and what you do, because it is abundant. Clear. As we all know, it's very hard to describe energy and gifts.

But to experience them, that's another thing. That was profound. And Rene, if you show up and do that, keep it super simple in the beginning, right? And then allow this to grow, it will. Remember, people sometimes will ask you for your own questions, you can include this as one of them right up front, so you get right down to it. And thank you for that.

Thank you for being awesome. You got this. All right. So we just have a few more minutes. But you see what a mock interview looks like, again, you want to come up with questions or allow the person to ask you questions you don't know about but the person that was playing the host must be sensitive, to ask you questions that are indigenous to you. Right and recorded.

Listen to the replay do as many of these as you can. It is like anything else in life, the more we practice an exercise and flex the muscle, the more profound we will become. And when the actual thing happens, we will feel really good about it. Or if you've already been interviewed, and there's a couple of elements you're starting to hear that you feel you could tinker with, use this time to take what you've already been doing and elevate it. So for instance, if you've been interviewed already, and you've got this quite under your belt, do think about starting to add a story here in there. Again, you want to it has to be germane to the point you're trying to make.

Anything that switches up rhythms is important. So find a place to tell a story that really pushes forward what it is you're talking about. If you've been interviewed a lot, find another place to offer a statistic that has to do with your expertise. So for instance, Karen's pitch letter started with a statistic, which is always shocking and riveting all at once. That's why we use a statistic. I would tell you that did you know I'm somebody who coaches book writing?

Did you know that 85% of people who want to, if 100% of people want to write a book, 85% never will write the book. So if you've written a book, you should feel good. If you haven't, you're in the majority. And did you know out of the 15%, that's left, most of them will start to write their book and never complete it. That's why people hire me as a book coach. that statistic actually just helped me to pitch myself to you get it.

So y'all have statistics, and if you don't go start googling them, and start playing around with different rhythms and animation shorter answers longer answers, adding a string I see there's a chat. Let me go over there. Ah, that was so sweet. Very nice. Renee just got something nice from Lori. Nice.

Yeah, this is this is our class of people, man. We are all extraordinary. So that's that. A few points. I want to go over here and I'm going to copy paste some questions you are welcome to use a site just in case you become the host and you feel a little tongue tied. You can use these.

This is fun. But you know you also want to source out things that people actually answer, but just know anytime you are doing the mock interviews, it's way more important, the comfort, the ease of the conversation. If you can keep considering I just went to Starbucks and I'm sharing a coffee with Michael, this is the kind of conversation we're having. That's all it is. I'm hanging out with Michael, totally connected. I really want to know about him.

I'm really curious. And we're just hanging out. That's what an interview really is. If you can get into that energy, doesn't matter if I say, what's your favorite animal? Right? Or if I say, what do you do for a living?

It's all going to come from that space. So those are some questions you can play with. And of course, there are many others and if the person gives you questions, awesome. So some massive mistakes that leaders make. Here's what's funny, I once had a guy come to me, and he said, I really want to hire you, Debbie. I need to learn.

I'm an author, a new author. I need to learn how to be interviewed. I want to get out there I know interviews can help me. So can I hire you? We were setting Update. So before we hung up, he said, Oh, and by the way, I don't believe that this works.

And I said, What do you mean this don't believe you don't believe this work? She said, Ah, I submitted myself for 10 different interviews, and I didn't hear back from anybody. I said, Well, the clients I work with do hear back. So I know there was one person in common in this party. So why don't you send me what you're sending out so I can take a look. And sure enough, there was the evidence of why nobody paid attention to poor Frank.

And what was happening with poor Frank was I'll emulate the letter he sent out. Dear Debbie, my name is Frank. I wrote the book x. I'm about to do a book launch on x date. I would like some support to get my book out. I would be a great guest for your show. If you would like to learn more about me, here is my website.

I hope to hear back very Sincerely yours, Frank. Okay, first of all, there's nothing personal in His email that says he knows me or my show, or that he's even a fit. Second of all, the entire email and pitch was about him and his book launch. But what is he providing for my very well nurtured audience that he's asking me to expose him to? Next, he makes the grand assumption that I actually have time in my life or day or interest to go on his website and do an hour of research to ascertain if he's a correct guest. No, you need to provide that.

What's your expertise? Why are you what are the bullet points? What are you going to bring? And then finally, he said, I hope to hear from you. But all he had was his name. I didn't have a website.

I didn't have an email address, a phone number, social media contacts. And listen, if you've got like 100,000 followers somewhere, please mention that if you got a huge platform mentioned that that's really important to the next massive mistake that people make is a lack of education. When I say this is a well nurtured audience, I mean for me over 12 years, my people know me love me and expect something very specific about my guests in the show I deliver. So if I'm inviting you to my show, to a couple of things needs to happen. Every host will say I need your materials by x date materials or your press media kit, if they need anything else to let you know, maybe they want to read your book ahead of time, or see your product who knows you decide. If they say by that date, you must you and your team must have it to them by that date.

Anything outside of that is total disrespect to my time and promoting you my time and researching you. I have so many guests and moving parts. I have. I'm telling you truth. I've cancelled people. I've cancelled names from my show.

It's very rare. Somebody doesn't get the materials to me, but if they don't, I can't abide. I don't have time to play like that too many emails. And reminders and it's not my job. So you must have the etiquette to turn it in in advance or definitely by the due date. And when you are through with your interview, always follow up with a thank you write an email and let them know very, not just thanks for having me on your show.

But why why was it meaningful? What did they provide? What's amazing about them, something, it goes so far. 12 years later, I still every time I'm interviewed write something very much from my heart to somebody took time to feature me on their show. I'm still touched by it. And if somebody has created money for me or my clients, sales, book, sales, workshops, filled anything that has moved the needle in my life, I send them a gift.

I don't send it to just anyone. But if somebody has created some kind of some kind of substance for my business, then Starbucks gift card is an easy place to start. gift cards are great, a bottle of wine, etc. Think about what's meaningful. And of course, if they said something. And the final mistake is that people sabotage by not knowing PR exists.

They literally are working so hard in their business, and they keep coming up to Well, people don't know about me, I'm not making enough sales or I'm not out there enough. This is the ticket. This is the gatekeeper. When you know how to use visibility, to put yourself your message your work out into the world. This is the game changer. I've seen it over and over.

People often ask me the question, well, will I make money if I do X, Y? and z is like hell yeah, you will. But guess what, it's not going to be like mano a mano. It's not going to be like I interview and immediately it comes in the most amazing surprising ways. You're going viral, which is what happens when you get interviewed over and over and over again, is you exponential eyes in yourself out into the world and people can't help but pay attention. Your colleagues, your tribe, your friends, your family, people have never heard of you you're connected within social media and otherwise, are going to constantly see your name.

And suddenly they need a collaborator. Suddenly, they need someone in the panel. Suddenly, they need somebody as an expert in their book, somebody they need somebody on stage or as part of their series or, and comma, comma, comma. That's going to start to be you because you're so visible. You are now the go to expert and authority. You want to control your story, so nobody else will.

People like Oprah people like the Kardashians. Why are they fabulous on camera, they were trained, like you're being trained, they open themselves up to what you chose as well. If you have a business you want to be visible so people know about it. recognition is a strategy being interviewed requires a plan and a strategy.
