There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire, and the other is to gain it. George Bernard Shaw says, quote, the tragedies in life, obviously this one is to lose your heart's desire and the other is to gain it. So the mind is that he got a treadmill. And you know, if you study Buddhism, you learn that the root of all suffering is desire. And so George Bernard job so astutely states here is, if you don't attain that desire, you'll be disappointed, but then when you do attain it, you're just gonna have it replaced with another one.
