Our greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another. The interesting aspects of human consciousness as you cannot tell the mind what not. So, the best way to be able to manipulate your own feelings states is to guide your attention towards gratitude, essentially. And so when William James said so astutely that your best weapon against stress is your ability to choose one thought over another. I can't tell you what not to think. So I can't say don't think of brock obama standing on the next to the Washington Monument, naked, right?
Because then you'll have to think that and take it out and that's just one of the attribute of consciousness. But I can't tell you Wow, is this amazing? You You woke up this morning like, Isn't this amazing? Like you you had a nice lunch. It was amazing. And so what I can do is guide you towards choosing thoughts that will keep you at the high end of your happiness spectrum and primarily, that's going to be done through gratitude.
